😢 My Brothers and Sisters, Listen Carefully…
We all need money in this life. Not because money is everything, but because life has become difficult without it. Sometimes, when your pockets are empty, even the people who once called you their friend stop checking on you. Your phone becomes quiet. Your messages remain unanswered. And you begin to understand that life can be very different when you have nothing to offer.
But please, don’t let poverty make you feel ashamed. 😢
If there is honest work available, take it. Carry bricks. Clean. Build. Farm. Wash. Lift. Dig. Sell. Learn a skill. Start small. Whatever honest work your hands can find, do it with pride.
People may laugh at you today because of the work you are doing, but they may never understand the dream you are fighting for.
Remember: you are not working because you are worthless. You are working because you refuse to remain where you are.
My brothers and sisters, someone else’s money will never give you the satisfaction of building something with your own hands. You may struggle today. You may cry in silence. You may go home exhausted and wonder when your life will change.
But keep going. 😢❤️
One day, you will look back at these difficult days and say:
“It was painful, but I didn't give up.”
There is no shame in honest work.
There is shame in giving up on yourself because people laughed at your beginning.
Work today. Sacrifice today. Struggle today. So that tomorrow, your story can speak for you.

Today, there was an attempted cattle raid by suspected Murle raiders in Akobo County.
The incident occurred in Kaibui, Akobo East, where an attempt was made to raid the cattle. The attempt failed after the youths of this County pursued the suspected raiders.
The raiders abandoned the cattle and fled for their lives. Fortunately, this prevented the two sides from engaging in a confrontation that could have resulted in injuries or loss of life.
To the Murle community of Jonglei State;

The Lou Nuer communities in the three Counties, together with some neighbouring Dinka communities, have endured cattle raiding, child abductions, and the abduction of women for far too long. Enough is enough.

Raiding cattle and abducting children and women is not only a violation of the rights of these communities;it is also a serious violation of human rights.
In the interest of peace, coexistence, and respect for the Murle community and the leadership of Jonglei State, we kindly appeal for an end to these practices.

Let us encourage professionalism, education, entrepreneurship and modern economic development that can create a better and more secure future for the Murle community and the generations to come.
Peace and development should be the path forward, not cattle raiding, abductions and retaliation!

Yes! between 1980s and 1990s we the Sudanese lived in civil wars.
But one thing was very clear.
Arabs respected human lives and therefore, we still enjoyed our heritage.
Nuer traditional love/courtship songs connected us the most.
Nuer/Naath girls praised their love ones without ceasing or a sense of doubt.
Bi̱ Nyal wut puany ni̱ gua̱th mi̱ nɔ̱a̱n. Kä ba ŋäth ɛ wutni̱ diaal ɛn ɣöö, duŋdiɛn ɛ nhök mi̱ thuɔ̱k.
Jëk kɛ mieth rɛy kakä. Kä ba cam kɛ cak yaaŋ kiɛ re̱c yiëër. Ci̱eŋ naath rɛy malä!
I love those childhood memories. May peace give us those childhood memories back again
