President Kiir left for South Africa for High-Level Talks on Elections

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has left Juba this morning for South Africa for high-level engagements with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The visit will focus on South Sudan’s preparations for the December 2026 General Elections, including progress on the electoral process and efforts to ensure peaceful and credible elections.

The two leaders are also expected to discuss bilateral relations and continued cooperation between South Sudan and South Africa.

Mabior Garang Mabiordit and advance team depart to Kuajok, Warrap State

The grant son — Mabior Garang Mabior Wol of Late Salvatore Garang Mabiordit and advance team have departed to to Kuajok shortly for further preparation of funerals and burial of his father — Salvatore Garang Mabiordit where he will be laid down to rest in Kuajok, Warrap State

The organisations and preparations of Salvatore Garang Mabiordit are still due with relevant authorities as his son will arrive to Kuajok shortly for further preparations.

The high-level burial committee — chaired by Albino Akol Atak, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management will continue preparing and make arrangements of the burial of Salvatore Garang Mabiordit
