In this past year alone, I came across many girlfriends who had been detected with breast cancer. So much truly going on.

So I decided to put what I learnt about breast cancer into one easy to follow informatics.

Hope this helps anyone who wants to know, understand better too.

Early detection saves lives and now we can understand why too!

When we say nip it in the bud, it literally means that.

But having said that, do seriously think how can we stop it from even surfacing?

Wow!

Dear EB Community,

Must have at home.

🍃 *Coughs, Colds & Flu on the Rise? Be Ready, Not Sorry.*

Thankfully, I’ve been spared, but at the very first sign of an itchy throat or sniffle, this is my simple protocol:

✅ *CanPrev Oil of Oregano*
Gargle with a couple of drops diluted in water.

✅ *CanPrev Cold-Pro*
Take early to support your immune system.

*For Kids:*
🍊 Orange Naturals Elderberry + Vitamin C (liquid or chewables)
🍊 Mild Orange Oil of Oregano

The earlier you support your body’s natural defences, the better.

Stay healthy and keep your family well! ❤️

Good afternoon and TGIF EB Community!

*The Five Daily Nourishment Pillars I Believe Matter Most*

If you’ve been on social media recently, you’ve probably seen countless videos claiming,

“These are the five supplements everyone should take.”

I’ve watched many of them with interest.

To be honest, I don’t agree with most of these lists.

Not because the nutrients they recommend are necessarily wrong, but because I think many miss the bigger picture. Very few people talk about how nutrients work together. Even fewer understand the science of network antioxidants, where different antioxidants regenerate and support one another as a team.

So what is my own view?

It isn’t based on what is trending.

It comes from almost twenty years of personal experience, years spent studying hundreds of scientific nutritional science reports, and helping many people on their wellness journeys.

For nearly twenty years, I have personally taken these nutrients. Just FYI, I suffered severe cervical spondylosis with sciatica and nerve pain, a debilitating mycoplasma lung infection that damaged parts of my lungs and several other illnesses that left me bed bound, before I discovered network antioxidants. And most recently (2 years ago), a bilateral cerebellar stroke that took away my ability to walk and even see clearly.

I cannot say that supplements alone healed me. Excellent medical care, God’s grace, my lifestyle, and many other factors all played important roles. But I do believe that consistently nourishing my body gave it the building blocks it needed to repair, recover and keep going.

That is why I feel I have earned the right to share what has made the greatest difference in my own life.

People often ask me,

“If you could only recommend a handful of nutrients to support long-term health, what would they be?”

My answer has remained remarkably consistent over the years.

These are the five daily nourishment pillars I continue to come back to.

None of them are miracle cures.

Together, however, they provide many of the nutrients our bodies need to protect, repair and function well.

Before I even talk about supplements, I always encourage people to build their health on the true foundations that God has already provided:

• Eat real, wholesome food.
• Move your body every day.
• Sleep well.
• Spend time in the sunshine.
• Drink plenty of clean water and stay well hydrated. Our bodies are made up of roughly 60% water, and every cell depends on it.
• Slow down and take deep breaths. Oxygen is essential for every living cell to produce energy. Fresh air and mindful breathing are among the simplest gifts we often overlook.
• Build loving relationships, reduce unnecessary stress, and find purpose in life.

Supplements should never replace these foundations.

Instead, they help fill the nutritional gaps that modern diets and lifestyles often leave behind.

1. *Network Antioxidants – The Body’s Defence Team*

Every day our bodies produce free radicals as part of normal metabolism. Pollution, smoking, infections, poor diet, stress and ageing all increase this oxidative burden.

Many people think one antioxidant is enough.

It isn’t.

Our bodies were designed to work with a network of antioxidants, where different nutrients recycle and regenerate one another. Vitamin C helps regenerate Vitamin E. Alpha-lipoic acid helps regenerate Vitamin C and glutathione. Coenzyme Q10 supports energy production while protecting cell membranes. Each nutrient performs a unique role, but together they become much more powerful.

That is why I believe a comprehensive antioxidant formula is far more valuable than taking one antioxidant in isolation.

This is the philosophy behind *VigourCells,* which contains a carefully designed network of antioxidants together with important supporting nutrients including:

• Vitamin C
• Natural Vitamin E
• Tocotrienols
• Alpha-lipoic acid
• Coenzyme Q10
• Vitamin B6 (P5P)
• Folate (Vitamin B9)
• Vitamin B12
• Biotin
• Selenium
• Magnesium

Together they support antioxidant defences, healthy energy production, nerve function, methylation, immune function and cellular health.

1. *Vitamin D3 + Vitamin K2 – Together with Sunshine*

If antioxidants are the body’s defence team, Vitamin D is one of its master communicators.

Although we call it a vitamin, Vitamin D actually behaves more like a hormone, influencing hundreds of genes throughout the body.

Many people spend most of their lives indoors and simply do not make enough Vitamin D from sunshine.

Whenever possible, enjoy sensible sunlight exposure.

When that isn’t enough, supplementation may be helpful.

Vitamin D3 works beautifully together with Vitamin K2.

Think of Vitamin D as helping your body absorb calcium, while Vitamin K2 helps direct that calcium into your bones and teeth, where it belongs, instead of allowing it to accumulate in soft tissues.

Natural sources include:

• Sunshine
• Oily fish
• Egg yolks
• Whole milk
• Cheese
• Natto (fermented soybeans)

1. *Omega-3 (EPA + DHA) – Healthy Fats for Every Cell*

Every cell in our body is surrounded by a delicate membrane.

The quality of that membrane depends largely on the fats we eat.

EPA and DHA are the two forms of omega-3 that our bodies use most efficiently.

EPA supports heart health and helps regulate inflammation.

DHA is a major structural component of our brain, eyes and nervous system.

I personally prefer an EPA:DHA ratio of approximately 2:1, together with eating oily fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel and anchovies whenever possible.

When dietary intake is inadequate, a purified, high-quality fish oil can help bridge the gap.

1. *Polyphenols – Nature’s Colourful Pharmacy*

Plants produce thousands of remarkable compounds called polyphenols.

These natural compounds help protect plants from environmental stress, and many also support human health.

The easiest way to enjoy a wide variety is simple:

Eat the rainbow.

Purple and blue fruits provide anthocyanins.

Tomatoes and watermelon provide lycopene.

Carrots and pumpkin supply carotenoids.

Broccoli provides sulforaphane.

Garlic and onions contain valuable sulphur compounds.

Green tea is rich in catechins.

Dark cocoa provides flavanols.

Extra virgin olive oil contributes hydroxytyrosol.

One concentrated polyphenol I especially appreciate is French maritime pine bark extract, which naturally contains more than forty different polyphenols, including procyanidins. It has been studied for its antioxidant properties and support for healthy circulation and vascular function.

No single fruit or vegetable contains everything.

Nature designed diversity for a reason.

1. *Live Probiotics – Feeding Your Inner Garden*

Every healthy garden begins with healthy soil.

Our bodies are no different.

Inside our digestive system live trillions of microorganisms that influence digestion, immunity, metabolism and even aspects of our overall wellbeing.

Feed them well.

Include fermented foods such as yoghurt with live cultures, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso and natto whenever possible.

When choosing a probiotic supplement, I look for products containing live organisms, not simply impressive numbers on the label.

Two groups I particularly value are:

• Saccharomyces boulardii, a beneficial probiotic yeast.

• Multi-strain bacterial probiotics, containing different strains of beneficial bacteria, because different strains perform different jobs.

Remember too that probiotics need food.

Prebiotic fibres from onions, garlic, leeks, asparagus, oats, legumes and foods rich in inulin help nourish these beneficial microbes so they can thrive. *This is why VigourCells and PineBark contains inulin too.*

*Final Thoughts*

If I had to simplify everything I have learnt over the past twenty years into five daily nourishment pillars, these would be my choice:

1. Network antioxidants
2. Vitamin D3 + Vitamin K2 with sensible sunshine
3. Omega-3 EPA + DHA
4. Colourful polyphenols from a wide variety of plants
5. Live probiotics supported by prebiotic fibre

But never forget the simple gifts that God has freely given every one of us.

☀️ Sunshine.
💧 Pure water.
🌬 Fresh air and oxygen.

These cost nothing, yet they sustain every cell in our bodies every single day.

Our bodies are like beautiful gardens.

The food we eat enriches the soil.

Water keeps it alive.

Sunshine helps it grow.

Fresh air allows it to breathe.

The five nourishment pillars provide the fertiliser that helps it flourish.

Feed your garden faithfully each day.

Small choices, repeated consistently over many years, can grow into a lifetime of better health.

Stay well and I hope this sheds more light on the 5 supplements that make up the Elixir Botanica wellness pack and why I strongly recommend it.

Dear FB friends,

Just a shout out for my little natural health supplement shop at International Plaza since 2016, and my business called Elixir Botanica since 2008!

If you or anyone you know is looking for premium, pure, safe and effective health supplements like vitamins, minerals, fish oils, antioxidant, live probiotics, fibres, proteins, amino acids, kids and baby products, homeopathic creams that are safe for babies too - for pain, eczema, insect bites, collagen (for beauty, joints etc), things to support women’s or men’s health, reduce risks of cancer, speed up cellular regeneration and effectively slow down the ageing process (just see my smooth skin and black hair in my 60s 🥰😆😂), please do consider my shop. I believe we are extremely well stocked to address most if not all needs (provided they are natural products).

We specialised in immune health too and give free one time consultation and health coaching services on supplements and health matters too.

I believe I am the only health supplement business in SG that has 100% Health Canada licensed products.

Just fyi, I started this business to provide myself and family safe and effective licensed products that I can take or share with a true peace of mind. It has certainly served me and everyone else who’s now a part of my family well.

So I hope you can support my work and share with your friends too.

Elixir Botanica is coming to 20 years in the business, so you know we are a genuine and established business, a brand that you can have the confidence to trust, as I personally curate everything I carry.

It’s my life, love and passion - after God and DC of course! 🤣

I also like to say a big thank you and my deepest gratitude to all friends who have supported me through the years and continue to.

12th June 2026, Friday

Happy TGIF friends!

This week has been a significant one for me as I celebrate life 2 years after stroke.

I wrote this piece much earlier but I just wanted to cross the anniversary days (5th June 2024) when I experienced the stroke and day I was taken by ambulance to Sengkang A&E (9th June 2024).

I know it may sound strange but I still get flashbacks and trepidations on those dates and I have to just remind myself of God’s grace and I am well today.

Hope you enjoy reading this piece written with much gratitude to a saviour God who saved my life.

/////

Two Years Later: A Life Restored

5th June, marked the second anniversary of my stroke.

As I sit quietly reflecting on that life-changing event, my heart is filled with gratitude, humility, wonder, and awe.

Two years ago, I could never have imagined where I would be today.

In June 2024, my world came crashing down.

What began as dizziness, loss of balance, and violent vomiting quickly became one of the most frightening experiences of my life. I remember being taken by ambulance to the hospital, terrified and desperately pleading for help. At that moment, I genuinely feared that I was dying.

For days, I could not eat.

I could barely open my eyes.

I could not walk.

I could not care for myself.

The simple things we take for granted every day suddenly became impossible.

I remember lying in that hospital bed, wondering if I would ever get my life back.

I remember praying.

I remember trusting God when I had nothing else left to hold on to.

I remember fearing that everything I loved might be taken away from me.

And I remember how fragile life suddenly felt.

Fast forward two years.

This past month, I found myself standing on a snow-covered mountain more than 3,000 metres above sea level in Innsbruck, Austria, laughing like a child as I played in the snow. I was truly so delighted when it started snowing ever so softly on me (see video).

I found myself walking through the breathtaking landscapes of Switzerland, gazing upon the majestic Matterhorn, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.

I spent six unforgettable hours cruising across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Lucerne, surrounded by magnificent mountains, charming villages, and some of God’s most beautiful creation.

As I stood there taking in the beauty around me, I was overwhelmed by a simple thought:

Two years ago, I could barely stand. I could not walk ten steps.

Today, I explored the Alps and walked 200,000 steps during my 18 day European vacation.

Two years ago, I could not walk unaided.

Today, I am walking through some of the most beautiful places on earth.

Two years ago, I spent 18 days lying in a hospital bed.

Today, I spent 18 days touring Europe and chasing trains.

Two years ago, I was fighting for my life.

Today, I am living it.

This journey through Austria, Switzerland, and Germany became much more than a holiday.

It became a celebration of life.

A celebration of healing.

A celebration of recovery.

A celebration of second chances.

A celebration of fulfilled promises.

An early celebration of my 30th anniversary married to the most wonderful God fearing man.

Most of all, it was a celebration of God’s faithfulness.

Yet this anniversary was also marked by sadness.

Just a few days before we left for Europe, Dexter’s cousin Kenneth suffered a stroke.

On the day we arrived in Innsbruck, we received the heartbreaking news that he had passed away.

Kenneth was only 51 years old.

His death weighed heavily on my heart throughout the trip.

As I stood among the mountains and lakes of Europe, I found myself thinking about him often.

I thought about how suddenly life can change.

I thought about how fragile our existence truly is.

I thought about families left behind and dreams left unfinished.

And I thought about my own journey.

Why was I given another chance when so many others were not?

Why did I recover so well when others continue to struggle?

I do not pretend to know all the answers.

But I know this:

Every day we are given is a gift.

Every sunrise is a gift.

Every meal shared with loved ones is a gift.

Every journey, every conversation, every laugh, every hug, every step we take is a gift.

Kenneth’s passing reminded me not to waste a single day.

Not to postpone joy.

Not to take health for granted.

Not to assume tomorrow is guaranteed.

His life and his passing have become another reminder to cherish the precious gift of today.

My stroke also reinforced something I have believed for many years.

Health matters.

Not because we are trying to live forever, but because good health allows us to live fully.

For almost two decades, I have dedicated my life to helping people strengthen their health and support their bodies through difficult seasons. Long before my own stroke, I believed that healthy cells form the foundation of a healthy life.

Today, after walking through my own health crisis, I believe it even more strongly.

I truly believe that years of faithfully nourishing my body and supporting my cellular health helped prepare me for the greatest health challenge of my life.

When the crisis came, my body had reserves to regenerate and restore.

When the storm arrived, there was strength to draw upon.

While no supplement can guarantee protection from illness or tragedy, I am deeply grateful for the role that VigourCells and network antioxidants have played in my own journey of resilience, recovery, and healing.

But beyond the science, beyond the supplements, beyond the medical care, I know there was something even greater carrying me through.

The grace of God.

There were moments during my illness when I was too weak to do anything for myself.

Yet God never left me.

He walked with me through every frightening scan, every sleepless night, every uncertain diagnosis, every painful step of rehabilitation, and every moment of fear.

When I could not see the future, He already knew it.

When I could not walk, He carried me.

When I thought my life might be ending, He was quietly writing the next chapter.

Today, two years later, I look back and see His fingerprints everywhere.

In every answered prayer.

In every small victory.

In every milestone.

In every step I have taken since.

The stroke that I once thought would end my life became the event that taught me how precious life truly is.

Today, when I stand on a mountain, walk beside a lake, sit around a table with family, or simply wake up to a new day, I no longer see these moments as ordinary.

I see them as gifts.

Gifts that I once feared I might never experience again.

As I celebrate this second anniversary, my heart is full.

Full of gratitude for life.

Full of gratitude for healing.

Full of gratitude for family and friends.

Full of gratitude for every prayer that was prayed on my behalf.

Full of gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving others through the work I love.

And above all, full of gratitude to God, who gave me a second chance and prepared me for that fateful day in June, 20 years ago by revealing to me the miraculous healing powers of antioxidants.

Two years ago, I was fighting for my life.

Today, I am living it.

Not perfectly, but gratefully.

Not fearfully, but faithfully.

And with every step I take, I am reminded that I am walking in a grace I did not earn and a future I once thought I might never have.

Two years ago, I was given a second chance at life.

I do not intend to waste it.

I will continue to love deeply, serve faithfully, care for my health, encourage others, and give thanks to God for every day He gives me.

Because life is not promised.

It is a gift.

To God be all the glory.

Amen and wishing everyone a beautiful life too!

Hello EB Community!

We are at the halfway mark of 2026 and I like to remind my community why it's important not to skip your daily antioxidants.

Just as you brush your teeth daily, please remember to take your antioxidants too!

Why should you never skip your daily antioxidants?

Because oxidative stress never takes a day off.

Every day, your cells face challenges from stress, pollution, poor sleep, aging, infections, and the demands of modern life.

Antioxidants help neutralize free radicals, support energy production, and protect healthy cells from unnecessary damage.

The secret isn’t taking them occasionally—it’s taking them consistently.

Just as you brush your teeth every day, your cells need daily care too.

Small habits, repeated daily, create extraordinary results over time.

The stronger and healthier your cells are, the better prepared your body is to handle life’s unexpected challenges and recover from them.

Take care of your cells today, and they’ll take care of you tomorrow.

✨ Don’t just age. Regenerate.

- contact me now if you like to find more about how to improve your cellular health or subscribe under Ambrosia Life.
