1 . Are you cleaning your hairbrushes?
Your brush doesn’t only collect shed hair. Sebum, dead skin cells, sweat and product residue can accumulate on the bristles and base over time.

2. What’s hiding in your brush?
Hair, sebum, keratin-rich skin debris, styling products, dust and microorganisms can all be present. Your scalp naturally has its own microbiome, including bacteria and yeasts, so hygiene matters ,without suggesting that normal microbes are automatically harmful.

3. Then you brush it back through your hair.
Brushing can redistribute sebum and accumulated product residue along the hair shaft. Heavy buildup may also make the hair feel greasy, coated or weighed down.

4. Your scalp is skin
Treat it like skin.

The scalp contains sebaceous glands, sweat glands, blood vessels and a complex microbial ecosystem. Good scalp care therefore involves more than shampooing your hair -your brushes, combs and styling tools matter too.

5. How often should you clean your brush?
There isn’t one scientifically established cleaning schedule for everyone. Remove trapped hair regularly and wash brushes that are designed to be washed. Oilier scalps and frequent use of styling products can cause buildup to accumulate faster.

6. Extension wearers -this one’s for you.
Extensions require careful detangling because excessive pulling and repeated mechanical stress can contribute to hair-shaft damage and traction on the follicles. A clean, appropriate extension brush plus gentle technique helps reduce unnecessary friction and pulling.

BONUS FACT: Your hair fibre is primarily made from keratin, and once it emerges from the scalp it is biologically dead tissue. That means protecting the existing hair shaft from unnecessary friction, tension and mechanical damage is an important part of maintaining length and condition.

Healthy hair habits start at the scalp and extend to the tools you use every day.

When did you last clean your hairbrush?

Honey Butter Blonde ✨

There’s something timeless about a soft, buttery blonde that looks effortless from every angle.

For this transformation, we created a custom Honey Butter Blonde to brighten the overall look while keeping the finish soft, creamy, and expensive-looking. To complete the transformation, I combined hand-tied weft extensions for fullness and density with keratin bond (K-tip) extensions around the hairline for the most seamless, invisible blend.

The result?
✨ Natural movement
✨ Beautiful dimension
✨ Fuller, longer hair
✨ A blonde that grows out beautifully

The best extensions are the ones nobody can tell you’re wearing -they simply think you’ve been blessed with incredible hair.

Would you wear a Honey Butter Blonde? 💛

🚨why am I loosing g my hair
Is your hair falling out more than usual?

Hair loss isn’t just about the hair you see in your brush or shower drain. It’s often your body’s way of telling you that something deeper needs attention.

💡 What is hair loss?
Hair loss occurs when more hairs are shedding than your scalp can replace, or when the follicles produce finer, weaker hairs over time.

🔍 What can cause hair loss?
• Stress
• Hormonal changes
• Nutritional deficiencies
• Illness or surgery
• Medications
• Genetics
• Poor scalp health
• Lack of sleep
• Rapid weight loss
• Autoimmune conditions

The good news? Not all hair loss is permanent. The first step is identifying the cause—because the right treatment depends on the reason behind it.

If you’ve noticed increased shedding, thinning, or changes in your hair, don’t ignore it. The earlier you investigate the cause, the better the chances of protecting and restoring your hair.

Did you know? Your scalp naturally sheds and renews itself approximately every 28 days. If you’re noticing an increase in dead skin or dandruff, washing your scalp more regularly may help remove excess build-up and support a healthier scalp environment. Contrary to popular belief, washing your hair more often does not automatically strip it of all its natural oils or nutrients—using the right shampoo for your scalp type is key
