This is considered quite a controversial case where I in 99% of cases decline the patients, however sometimes in life we do exceptions.
Our client was 21 years old and wearing caps all the time to hide his aggressive hairloss. He had retrograde alopecia and I started him first on oral finasteride and minoxidil 6 months prior to his procedure, which he tolerated well.
He returned for his procedure in july 2025, using less than 2300 grafts covering his hairline and temples and working towards the midscalp. As he has tolerated the medications well, I switched him to oral dutasteride to maintain the rest of his hair later in the future. If he were to need another procedure, he has plenty of grafts still to strategically use later.
The reason why we accepted his case was the psychological stress that the hairloss caused him and that he trusted my conservative approach to preserve the donorarea for the future. He agreed to show his case. Enjoy the close ups with wet hair!

Our 45 year old patient had always had a high hairline from his younger days, but experienced a slow progression for 15 years before he contacted us. He wanted his hairline to get strengthened and a subtle change so nobody would suspect he had done a procedure. That also included not shaving his whole head in the procedure. 1750 grafts were used to lower his hairline slightly and also working deeper into the temples with his fine scandinavian hair.

A natural hairline is all about precision and understanding how to distribute grafts based on each individual case. There is no one-size-fits-all hairline. Every patient who comes to us has unique hair characteristics, facial features, and ethnic background.
Knowing how to adapt to these differences is what sets a handful of exceptional hair transplant surgeons apart from the rest in the world. They know who they are and what I talk about here. Many times I get asked by patients who are of higher norwood scales if the magical numbe/amount of ´´3500 grafts´´ will be enough to fix their problems.
Unfortunately it is not.
I want to show what we managed to do on this patient using 4632 grafts. The whole procedure took 15 hours and was exhausting for me and the whole team of 5 people.
I explain to patients who are norwood 5 or higher that they would need multiple sessions to get perfect density, and that it should be supplemented with hair loss medications as well for the hairs not to lose their strength as they age.

Hairline lowering for our very lovely patient with curly hair.
The tricky part was feathering the entire hairline so it would look smooth and completely natural, without any signs of surgery. After careful selection of grafts along the hairline, we were able to create a perfectly soft hairline that beautifully frames her face.

Our patient came for a 2 stage procedure to create a natural conservative hairline that suits his facial features and that he can age well with. We also did some work on his crown during the first session where only 2900 grafts were used . We will focus on making his crown more dense on his 2nd procedure that we are planning for next year.

Our patient came to us for a planned 2 stage procedure to cover his whole head. We used 3400 grafts on his first session and got great coverage and a natural hairline. His next session will take place later this year where we will focus on make the rest of his scalp dense.
