Varicocele is one of the most common correctable causes of male infertility.

Varicocele occurs when the veins around the testicle become enlarged and may affect s***m count, motility, and overall s***m quality. In selected patients, Microsurgical Varicocelectomy is a precise and advanced surgical technique performed under magnification, allowing careful treatment of the affected veins while preserving important surrounding structures. 🔬

If you have persistent scrotal pain, enlarged veins, changes in testicular size, or difficulty achieving pregnancy, proper evaluation and timely treatment are important.

Modern treatment. Microsurgical precision. Better outcomes. 💙

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that commonly appear in the legs. They develop when the valves inside the veins become weak or damaged, allowing blood to flow backwards and collect in the legs.

Common symptoms include visible bulging veins, aching, heaviness, swelling, itching, night cramps and skin discoloration around the ankle. Symptoms may become worse after prolonged standing or sitting. If left untreated, advanced varicose veins can lead to persistent swelling, skin thickening, bleeding, superficial thrombophlebitis and painful venous ulcers.

People who stand for long hours, have a family history of varicose veins, are overweight, pregnant or physically inactive may have a higher risk. Regular walking, leg elevation, weight control and avoiding prolonged standing can help reduce symptoms, but these measures may not remove established varicose veins.

Modern treatments include compression therapy, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, endovenous laser ablation and radiofrequency ablation. The most appropriate treatment depends on clinical examination and venous Doppler ultrasound findings.

Seek medical assessment if you have painful veins, increasing swelling, skin changes, bleeding or a non-healing leg ulcer. Early evaluation can prevent complications and improve both comfort and appearance. 🩺🦵

Acute limb ischemia is a sudden and serious reduction in blood supply to an arm or leg, usually caused by a blood clot or arterial blockage. Without urgent treatment, the affected muscles, nerves, and tissues can suffer permanent damage within hours, potentially leading to limb loss.

Warning signs include sudden severe pain, unusual paleness or bluish discoloration, coldness, numbness, weakness, loss of movement, or an absent pulse in the affected limb. These symptoms should never be ignored or treated at home. The patient must be taken immediately to a hospital with vascular-surgery facilities for urgent assessment.

Early diagnosis and timely restoration of blood flow can make the difference between saving and losing a limb. Treatment depends on the cause and severity of the blockage and may include anticoagulation, removal of the clot, catheter-based intervention, bypass surgery, or other revascularization procedures.

This video explains acute limb ischemia, its warning signs, and why every minute matters. Watch until the end and share it for the benefit of others. 🩸🦵

When your junior calls you at 3 AM for an RTA patient with a suspected popliteal artery injury—and you’re already thinking about a 3-hour revascularization procedure… but then you find intact ATA and PTA signals and tell your junior, “Beta, refer the patient to Orthopaedics "🙄😂

Fresh fruit juice may look healthy, but it contains concentrated natural sugars and much less fibre than whole fruit. During juicing, most fibre is removed, making the sugar faster for the body to absorb. Even without added sugar, one glass can contain sugar from several fruits and may quickly raise blood glucose, especially in people living with diabetes.

Regular consumption can add calories, contribute to weight gain, and make diabetes control more difficult. Whole fruit is the better choice because its fibre slows sugar absorption, improves fullness, and helps prevent a glucose spike. Water, unsweetened tea, or other sugar-free drinks are better options for hydration.

People with diabetes do not need to avoid juice completely, but it should not be considered an unlimited drink. If you choose to have fresh juice, keep the portion small, avoid added sugar, take it occasionally rather than daily, and preferably consume it with a balanced meal. Check your blood glucose response and follow the dietary advice provided by your doctor or dietitian. Remember: “natural sugar” can still raise blood sugar. Choose whole fruit more often and drink fresh juice carefully. Stay informed and protect your health. 🥤🩺

Today, a young man is losing his hand after a severe vascular injury to his arm. He arrived late, after prolonged interruption of blood flow had already caused irreversible damage to the muscles and tissues. Despite every possible effort, the hand can no longer be saved. This is one of the most painful moments for a vascular surgeon: knowing that timely treatment might have changed the outcome. Vascular injuries are emergencies, so uncontrolled bleeding, a cold limb, severe pain, numbness, or absent pulses require immediate specialist care. Early referral can save a limb, livelihood, and future for patients everywhere.
