REAL TALK: BLACKENING SHAMPOO COLOR CORRECTION 😮💨
BEFORE: Client with 2 inch gray roots + black length
History: She used BLACKENING SHAMPOO for months to cover white hair
Goal: Gusto nya light brown / fashion color
What I did:
✅ Bleach 2x - carefully, with bond protector
Result? PATCHY / MARAMING PATCHES! 😭
Some parts brown, some parts dark pa rin, some parts orange.
WHY?
Blackening shampoo is NOT like regular color.
It contains metallic dyes & heavy black pigment na dumidikit ng sobra sa hair cuticle.
Parang super glue - hindi basta natatanggal ng bleach!
Kahit 2x bleach - BROWN lang kaya, hindi pa ma blonde.
AFTER: We achieved even BROWN - not the light color she wanted, but SAFE & EVEN.
📌 LESSON FOR CLIENTS:
1. If you use blackening shampoo - please tell your stylist!
2. Don't expect light color in 1 session - need 2-3 sessions
3. Blackening shampoo will cause patches - normal po yan
4. Brown is the safest we can get for now - para hindi ma damage hair
