We are proud to introduce Ms. Jona Mae Nuguid, RND, our Section Head of Nutrition at SPARC.

Ms. Nuguid earned her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Santo Tomas and further honed her expertise through advanced training at Veterans Memorial Medical Center and St. Luke’s Medical Center.

As a Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve better health through evidence-based nutritional counseling and personalized dietary interventions.

At SPARC, we recognize that recovery, performance, and overall wellness extend beyond procedures and rehabilitation. Proper nutrition plays a vital role in injury recovery, weight management, arthritis care, sports performance, and long-term health.

We are proud to introduce Dr. Wesson Pious A. Espiritu, Head of SPARC and Section Head of Sports and Arthroscopic Surgery.

Dr. Espiritu completed his Residency Training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center and pursued further Subspecialty Training in Sports and Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Hong Kong – Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong.

He also underwent specialized training in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound under Professor Gautam Das at Daradia: The Pain Clinic, India, allowing him to integrate advanced diagnostic and ultrasound-guided treatment techniques into his practice.

With expertise in sports injuries, ligament reconstruction, meniscal preservation, shoulder instability, tendon disorders, and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, Dr. Espiritu is committed to helping patients return safely to the activities and sports they love.

We are proud to introduce Dr. Gonzalo Gabriel B. Lavarias III, our Section Head of Adult Joint Reconstruction Surgery at SPARC.

Dr. Lavarias completed his Residency Training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center and pursued further Subspecialty Training in Adult Joint Reconstruction Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan.

With advanced training in hip and knee reconstruction, Dr. Lavarias specializes in the treatment of arthritis and other degenerative joint conditions, helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to an active lifestyle.

Dr. Cabais completed his Residency Training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center and pursued further Subspecialty Training in Spine Surgery at Tohoku Central Hospital, Japan.

With advanced training in the management of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine disorders, Dr. Cabais specializes in the comprehensive care of patients suffering from neck pain, back pain, spinal degeneration, and other spine-related conditions.
