Kili-kili horror story 👻

Long story short, her underarms developed a severe irritant contact reaction to this certain viral product. She ended up with more hyperpigmentation than when she started and actually spent more on treatment. Don't worry, she's okay now. Her underarms are back to normal color c/o yours truly 😊

A "salon/clinic" posted a picture grabbed from our clinic's page. There are so many things wrong about this. Off the top of my head:

• This is plain stealing. The original picture had our clinic's initials superimposed on the eyes. What they did was edited it out and put on their own label.

• This is utter disregard of our privacy and property.

• There is an intention to mislead. That nice of an improvement after only one session? Amazing naman! Don't dupe your "clients" into thinking one session lang 'yan because I managed this case using my own technique.

• Do these salons know the physics behind each laser they offer? Which one modality works best for a specific indication? Or tira lang nang tira? Hindi ba ito practice of medicine? When patient develops burning, etc, sa amin din ang punta. And by then, it's usually too late.

• Offer is P1500 per session. If it's that cheap, think twice. There is a reason bakit bagsak presyo 'yan.

I did not name the clinic because I talked to the owner already and I told her my piece. Good thing a patient brought this to my attention that's why we found out.

And lastly, please don't address my patients as "clients/customers" because the relationship I have with my patients is not only for business. My patients have medical concerns and it is my passion to help them. Please don't insult our profession.

Moles can be removed by either of 2 methods. How do you know which suits you?

☆ Excision
✅️ Used for larger moles that would leave a large gap in the skin, hence, the need for stitches
✅️ Used for moles suspected to be cancerous as the mole needs to be sent still intact to pathology for biopsy

☆ Laser ablation
✅️ Used for smaller moles with expected good cosmetic results
✅️ Used for moles that are located on an area where significant disfigurement is expected (a more conservative approach is undertaken wherein multiple sessions are done to "debulk" the mole little by little until it is completely removed)
