Borrowing this sentiment from a protest poster because the only data centers we truly need to fund are libraries, plant nurseries, parks, rainforests, museums, craft expos, galleries, thrift stores, q***r barbershops and spaces where the girls, they g**s, and the theys convene.
Create something with your hand while you can. Learn how to knit, how to cut hair, how to bake, how to sculpt with raw clay. Learn and fail and then master these things. Take your time. Enjoy the creation.
The future will never be AI because the future WILL NOT EXIST with it.
Over here, no code switching will ever be necessary.
You're cut as you are. π³οΈββ§οΈπ³οΈβππ

"In the Philippines, something as mundane as a haircut can become deeply political, especially for q***r people. Haircuts are more than mere errands or choresβtheyβre the starting point for many q***r people to express themselves and claim space in a world that already marginalizes them."

π©ΈTrigger Warning: Violence, Deathπ©Έ
Betty Benito, a trans woman resident of Brgy. Manalog, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon was found dead yesterday, July 27. Her body was discovered lifeless amongst dense forestry by police and community members. She was a beauty pageant contestant, student, and tourism leadership awardee. A person of interest has been identified.
As the Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP) wraps up the first iteration of our Transfeminist Documentation and Justice Training, we are painfully reminded of the reasons why we strive for reform. Betty, beloved by her family, friends, and community, is the most recent documented case of transfemicide and is evidence of the persisting pattern of violence towards transpinays (trans women and transfeminine individuals) rampant in the Philippines.
STRAP stands in solidarity with Betty, her family, loved ones, and the trans community as we call for a thorough investigation and justice for her death. STRAP is actively waiting and engaging with media reports to properly document her case.
