Some fragrances are made for special occasions.

This one is for absolutely nothing.

I wanted something green, clean, fresh, and polished. Yung amoy na parang may direction ang buhay mo.

Which is useful, because sometimes the only evidence that you're doing okay is the way you smell. 😂

It opens fresh and green—parang bagong shower, bagong polo, bagong personality.

Then the florals arrive. Elegant. Refined. Very “I know what I want.”

You absolutely do not.

The clean musk and soft woods settle in with the confidence of someone who has a five-year plan.

Meanwhile, you have 17 tabs open, ₱83 in your GCash, and an email you've been avoiding since February.

But nobody needs to know that.

Because fragrance is basically a very sophisticated lie.

You can be late on rent, late on deadlines, late to your own personal development...
..and still smell like the kind of person whose LinkedIn says “strategic thinker.”

No date.

No dinner reservation.

No important meeting.

Wala ngang pupuntahan.

Pero mabango ka.

For No Reason at All.

Because fixing your life takes time.

Looking like you fixed it takes two sprays.

This one started with a simple question:

What does being present smell like?

Kasi let's be honest, bihira na tayong nasa now.

Kumakain ka, iniisip mo yung trabaho.

Nagtatrabaho ka, iniisip mo yung weekend.

Weekend na, iniisip mo na yung Monday.

Monday na, iniisip mo kung bakit ka nag-resign noong 2019. 😂

Parang hindi tayo marunong tumambay sa isang moment nang walang iniisip na next.

We're always somewhere else.

Physically present.
Mentally naka-leave.

So I wanted to make something that felt bright and alive, but also warm and settled.

Citrus · Tea · Ginger · Coconut · Salted Amber · Sandalwood · Musk

Nothing too complicated.

Just something that makes you want to stay in the moment a little longer.

Kasi minsan, the best thing you can do is stop optimizing your life for five minutes and just exist.

No five-year plan.

No “what's next?”

No checking the clock every seven minutes.

And eventually, the name just made sense:

Nothing Beyond Now.

Wala munang yesterday.

Wala munang tomorrow.

For once, this is it.

And yes, you can overthink that too.

But maybe not today.

This one started because of the then-forthcoming petrol price hike. 😂

I was actually thinking, “What if I just make a gasoline fragrance?”

Medyo weird, I know. But I've always been fascinated by that smell. (Remember WRATH from Los Siete Pecados?)

Then I started connecting the dots.

Ever since I was a kid, I've had this fascination with explorers.

Indiana Jones 🤠

Tintin. 👨‍🦱

Captain Nemo. ⚓

And yes Lara Croft...
(It's the tank top, ponytail and the guns that get me everytime. Oh and Angelina. Always Angelina)

Yung fantasy na you're somewhere deep in the jungle, driving a battered Land Cruiser or Pathfinder, cutting your way through some forgotten trail looking for something nobody else has found. 🏕️

Then there was Nathan Drake and Uncharted.

So ayun. Somehow, all those things ended up in one fragrance idea.

I started asking myself:

Kung totoong tao si Nathan Drake, ano kaya amoy niya?

Gasoline from the vehicle.
Leather from the gear.
Amber from all that heat and dust.
Tonka for the warmth.

And somehow, pineapple.

So I went with:

Pineapple 🍍 + Gasoline ⛽ + Leather 👜 + Amber + Tonka

And that's how Uncharted happened.

Sometimes you start making a fragrance with a formula.

Sometimes you start with a weird thought.

This one started with gasoline getting expensive. 😂

Noong bata ako, I always imagined myself as a young explorer cutting a path through the jungle in a battered Land Cruiser or Pathfinder.

Dust. Heat. Green everywhere. Gasoline in the air. Leather seats. And somewhere in the middle of all that adventure, the smell of ripe pineapple.

I used to wonder:

“Kung ako ‘yung batang explorer na ‘yon, how would I smell like?”

Now, Sir Nixon Co. is about to find out. 😎

1️⃣ Amir Al Bahr - my first shop blend that got the attention of a fellow perfume maker and UAE fragrance-preneur

(Though I didn't end up selling him the formulation, we are working on something new when he flies in during the holidays. Amir Al Bahr is a P4L exclusive 😃)

2️⃣ Kanin 01 - na miss ko na mag rice. So I made Dinorado smelling perfume. Di naman nakaka taas ng sugar yun eh.

Yes alam ko medyo reverse yung order - sa dry down kasi it smells like freshly harvested rice.

Bakit si Benjamin Button, paatras ding tumanda!

3️⃣ Santal Surnise - I wanted a wearable Sandalwood + Leather combo to commemorate an important career milestone.

Bakit may pineapple 🍍? Because why not, right?!

4️⃣ Saffron Elixir D'Orange Clare - the OG SEDO is truly beautiful kaso may 3 people in a row who said they found it too syrupy.

Eh di panipisin natin ng kaunti or so I rhought.

First attempt was an Eau Fraiche that ended up underperforming.

Second attempt was a sad EDP.

Third time's a charm. Extrait pa din pero di na syrupy but still very lux and opulent.

5️⃣ The Charismatic Mr. Toast - my pet cat, Mr. Toast died recently and unexpectedly. He was very well loved and a true charming gentleman.

This is how I want him to be remembered. Sweet, a bit playful, feisty, full of energy and warm.
