Today reminded me that my work is more than makeup.

My client was already beautiful before I even did her makeup, and I think that one of the challenges for us makeup artists is how to make our already beautiful clients even more beautiful.

Yet today’s makeup session with her reminded me that what mattered most wasn’t just how she looked but how she felt.

As we talked about her grandparents.. she started to cry. I realized in thats moment that this chair isn’t only for glam but it’s also a safe space. A space for stories, love, and vulnerability.

Lately, I’ve been really challenged in life and in my career and I’ve been searching for a deeper purpose in why I continue to do makeup despite the struggles I experience. Because tbh, being passionate about it doesn’t always feel like the whole reason anymore.

And in that moment with her, I realized that no matter how my career may look to me right now, I’m still on the right track.

And maybe, I’m doing something right after all. 💖

Our bride, , wanted an ethereal bridal look. So for her ceremony look, we focused on glowing skin that looks alive, soft dreamy eyes, and a n**e peach lip that lets her natural beauty shine. ✨
