Living in the Kingdom
July 30, 2026
Thursday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings for Today

Jesus said to the disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away.” Matthew 13:47–48

Reflect today on Jesus’ simple yet profound question: “Do you understand all these things?” Does life make sense in the light of faith? Do questions or doubts arise? Do trials and burdens weigh heavily on your soul? Or have you allowed God to speak to you—revealing the meaning of your life, strengthening you for your journey, and drawing you into the glorious mystery of His Kingdom? Know that God will give you all you need to sincerely and humbly say to Him, “Yes, Lord—I understand, I believe, and I choose to live as You call me to live!” Nothing in life is greater than this.

Let us pray
King of Heaven and Earth, Your wisdom is far above my own, and Your ways are mysterious yet perfect. Come to me, Lord—speak to my heart, and reveal Your Truth to my soul. Grant that I may not only understand and believe, but also live all that You reveal, that my citizenship in Your Kingdom may be firm and everlasting. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Thursday.

Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary and Lazarus

Readings for Today

Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother [Lazarus, who had died]. When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him; but Mary sat at home. John 11:19–20

Reflect today on the tender love Jesus had for this saintly family. See yourself and your own earthly family in them. Know that Jesus desires to dwell in your home, to relate with you personally, and to make your home a sanctuary of His abiding presence. Welcome Him in. Like Martha, serve Him with generosity. Like Mary, sit at His feet in loving adoration. And like Lazarus, allow Him to lift your spirit, restore your soul, and call you forth from whatever binds you. Jesus does all of this joyfully—moved with deep compassion, affection, and love for you.

Let us pray
My Lord and divine Friend, just as Your Sacred Heart was moved with compassion and holy sorrow at the death of Your friend Lazarus and at the grief of his sisters, so too is Your Heart moved with love for me—even when I fail. Strengthen me, dear Lord, by Your abiding presence in the sanctuary of my heart. May my life be a home You visit often and a place of faith, love, and friendship. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Wednesday

Entering and Becoming the House of God
July 28, 2026
Tuesday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings for Today

Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples approached him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” Matthew 13:36

Reflect today on this house. First, see the Church as the house in which Christ speaks to you most clearly. Give thanks for the many ways our Lord has spoken to you and fed you in this sacred House of God. Reflect also on your own soul as a dwelling place of God. Believe that Christ desires to use you to bring others into His presence, dwelling within your soul. Give thanks for this gift, and pray that you may be both a faithful disciple within the house and a radiant house of grace for others to enter and meet Christ our Lord.

Let us pray
Most intimate Lord, You desire to reveal to me—and to all Your children—the deep and profound mysteries of Your Kingdom of grace. Draw me to Yourself, to Your House of Grace and Mercy, which resides within Your holy Church. Teach me, sanctify me, and form me according to Your holy will. As You make Your dwelling within me, make my soul a place where others may encounter You, hear Your Word, and receive Your grace. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Tuesday.

From Humble Beginnings
July 27, 2026
Monday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings for Today

Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds. “The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a person took and sowed in a field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants. It becomes a large bush, and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.” Matthew 13:31–32

Reflect today on the hidden ways in which Christ is at work in your life. Are you attentive to His quiet growth within you? Do you nourish the seed of His presence through prayer and the Sacraments? Trust that, even in small beginnings, God is building His Kingdom—in you, through you, and for His greater glory.

Let us pray
Most glorious King, You desire that Your Kingdom be born within our lives through the grace poured out by Your Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Come to me, Lord, and plant the seed of grace deep within my soul. Let it take root and grow, transforming me according to Your perfect will. Through me, expand Your Kingdom on earth, until the day we behold the fullness of Your eternal Kingdom in glory. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Monday.

A Priceless Discovery Awaits!
July 26, 2026
Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A)
Readings for Today

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.” Matthew 13:44–46

These parables pose two fundamental questions for each of us:

1. Have I discovered the priceless treasure of the Kingdom of Heaven?
2. If I have, am I willing to let go of everything else to attain it?

Reflect today on this invaluable treasure, waiting to be discovered. Consider where you are on that journey of discovery. Have you heard about the priceless treasure of coming to know, love, and serve God? Have you read about the radical response made by many saints? Have you discovered God for yourself, through prayer and moments of profound enlightenment? If you have not, keep searching—the Kingdom is near. If you have made this discovery, then consider all your attachments, and willingly surrender them to God, acknowledging that nothing is too much to offer to our loving God in exchange for the untold riches of the life of grace to which we are called.

Let us pray
My Lord and King, so often I seek the fleeting treasures of this world, including the illusion of treasures found in sin. Please open my eyes and help me to see You as You truly are—and to recognize the priceless value of Your Kingdom in my life. As I discover this Pearl of Great Price, grant me the courage and wisdom I need to surrender all that You ask of me, so that I may fully attain Your reign in my heart. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Sunday.

Drinking Christ’s Chalice
Saturday, July 25, 2026

Feast of Saint James, Apostle

Readings for Today

The mother of the sons of Zebedee approached Jesus with her sons and did him homage, wishing to ask him for something. He said to her, “What do you wish?” She answered him, “Command that these two sons of mine sit, one at your right and the other at your left, in your Kingdom.” Jesus said in reply, “You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the chalice that I am going to drink?” They said to him, “We can.” Matthew 20:20–22

As we honor Saint James, reflect today on his zeal, faith, and desire to be an active member of Christ’s Kingdom. Though he misunderstood what that entailed at first, he remained faithful until the end. Reflect on your own desire for status or recognition. Do you seek honor among others, whether in the Church or society? If so, turn to Saint James, who ultimately embraced the true mission of discipleship. We, too, must drink Christ’s chalice of selfless and sacrificial love, willingly laying down our lives in countless ways. Resolve to embrace whatever mission God entrusts to you. If He opens the door to leadership and prominence, walk through it humbly. If He leads you through the door of sacrifice and holy suffering, do not hesitate. God has a unique and glorious mission for each of us—different from one another, yet equally glorious when accepted with love and fidelity.

Let us pray
My sacrificial Lord, You freely and completely offered Your life on the Cross and invite me to follow in Your footsteps. Saint James responded with courage, drinking the chalice You gave him, even to the shedding of his blood. Reveal to me, Lord, the mission You have entrusted to my life, and grant me the strength to embrace it with all my heart. May I, like Saint James, share in the glory of Your Kingdom through a life of faithful love and sacrifice. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Saturday.

Receptive to the Gospel
July 24, 2026
Friday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings for Today

Jesus said to his disciples: “Hear the parable of the sower. The seed sown on the path is the one who hears the word of the Kingdom without understanding it, and the Evil One comes and steals away what was sown in his heart. The seed sown on rocky ground…” Matthew 13:18–20

Reflect today on the progression revealed in this parable. How open is your heart to the Word of God? As a spiritual seed, God’s Word is powerful. When received into a mind filled with faith, and a heart filled with hope and charity, the seed is nurtured and grows. As it grows, authentic transformation takes place. Good fruit becomes evident, and God does great things in and through this holy soul. See yourself on this journey, till the soil, and await God’s Word as it is sown. Receive it with joy, and resolve to nourish that seed so that an abundance of good fruit may be borne from your life—thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold.

Let us pray
My Divine Sower, You sow the seed of Truth generously and abundantly. You are always speaking to me, revealing Your Love and Your perfect Will, yet I am often hardhearted, shallow, or distracted. Please till the soil of my heart and make me receptive to all You reveal, so that my life may bear an abundance of good fruit for Your Kingdom. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Friday.

A Model of Holy Love and Desire

Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene

Readings for Today

On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don’t know where they put him.” John 20:1–2

Reflect today on the transformed soul of Saint Mary Magdalene. She went from diabolical affliction to a heart overflowing with holy love and desire for our Lord. She is a model for each of us. We must allow ourselves to be filled with the same gratitude for His grace and reconciliation, cultivate the same unwavering devotion, and burn with the same longing to find Him. When our hearts mirror Mary’s, we too will hear the Lord call us by name. Be grateful. Desire Him. Listen for Him. And like Mary, you will find that He is already standing before you.

Let us pray
Rabbouni! With Saint Mary Magdalene, I give thanks to You with all my heart for the freedom You have mercifully bestowed upon me. You have forgiven my sins, restored me to grace, and kept me safe from the snares of the enemy. With Mary, I pray that my passions and every movement of my soul may be caught up in love of You, driving me to seek You with all my being. Speak my name, O Lord, call me lovingly, and open my eyes to see You always before me. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Wednesday.

Familial Kinship in the Kingdom
July 21, 2026
Tuesday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings for Today

Someone told him, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, asking to speak with you.” But he said in reply to the one who told him,“Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12:47–50

Reflect today on your deep longing to belong. We often seek acceptance from family, friends, and those around us, but that longing is ultimately fulfilled only by grace, in the spiritual communion that flows from obedience to the Father’s will. Obeying God is a blessing, not a burden. It makes us who we are meant to be. The fruit of that obedience is the deepest peace and joy the heart can know: the joy of belonging to God’s eternal family.

Let us pray
Heavenly Father, You have called me not only to follow You, but to belong to You. May Your will be my delight. Form me in the image of Your Son, that I may live in the communion of love that unites all Your children. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, draw me deeper into the mystery of divine kinship. Father, I love You. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Tuesday.

The Certitude of Faith
July 20, 2026
Monday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings for Today

Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.” He said to them in reply, “An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.” Matthew 12:38–39

Reflect today on your own heart. Why do you believe in God? Why do you profess Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Has faith truly taken hold of you? Have you heard God speak within and responded with surrender? If so, then this is the transforming power of faith at work. Pray for this gift—that it may take deeper root and grow stronger each day—so that, unlike the scribes and Pharisees, the gift of faith will be the only sign from Heaven you need.

Let us pray
My miraculous Lord, though You performed many signs and wonders to strengthen the faith of those who believed, You withheld such signs from those who rejected the gift of faith, calling them instead to interior conversion. Strengthen my faith—not by external wonders, but by speaking to me in the depths of my soul. May Your grace take hold of me, transform me, and sustain me. Jesus, I trust in You. Good morning and blessed Monday.
