*FROM GOLD TO A RECORD-BREAKING ALL-TIME HIGH!*

Fresh from the 6th National Summit on Gender and Development in Cooperatives, held from August 3–5, 2026, in Baguio City—where PECCI MPC received the prestigious GAD Champion Award–Gold Category among cooperatives nationwide—PECCI GAD proudly achieved another remarkable milestone!

On August 6, our timely and highly informative webinar, “Bridging Generations in the Workplace: Understanding Gender, Respect, and Inclusion Across Ages,” reached a jam-packed, record-breaking all-time high of 600 attendees—the highest in PECCI’s webinar history!

Bridging generations is essential because today’s workplace brings together people of different ages, experiences, values, and communication styles. By understanding these differences, we can overcome stereotypes and biases, prevent misunderstandings, encourage mentoring and knowledge-sharing, and create stronger collaboration among Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z.

Its impact goes beyond the workplace. Promoting respect and empathy across generations strengthens families, organizations, and communities. It helps build an inclusive culture where everyone—regardless of age, gender, or background—feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Alvin Cloyd Dakis for leading an engaging and meaningful discussion that reminded us that generational diversity is not a barrier—it is a strength that can inspire innovation, cooperation, and positive change.

To our 600 Ka-PECCI participants, thank you for being part of this historic learning session. Your overwhelming support proves that when we learn from one another, we build stronger bridges across generations.

From earning Gold to setting new records, PECCI GAD remains committed to advancing gender equality, respect, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and the wider community.
Maraming salamat, Ka-PECCI! 💚🧡

BRINGING HOPE AND LOVE: PECCI MPC Extends Compassion to PREDA Foundation
Homecare for Girls.
August 1, 2026 | Brgy Kalaklan, Subic, Zambales

Compassion is most meaningful when it reaches those who need it most. Guided by its enduring commitment to social responsibility and community empowerment, the PECCI Multipurpose Cooperative (PECCI MPC), led by Chairperson Alvin P. Santos, together with the Board of Directors, and the cooperative's Committee officers, carried out a heartfelt outreach program to People's Recovery,
Empowerment and Development Assistance (PREDA) Foundation, homecare for girls.
PREDA Foundation Inc. implement holistic, child-centered, and rights-based intervention for the rehabilitation and healing process of children 18 years old and below. As of June 2026, PREDA Foundation - Home for Girls, admitted and provided therapeutic intervention to 48 girls from different referring municipalities in Region III and nearby regions. Most of them are victim-survivors of sexual abuse, physically abused, and emotional abuse.

More than a donation drive, the initiative reflected PECCI MPC's unwavering belief that acts of kindness can restore dignity, provide comfort, and inspire hope. Through the turnover of essential household and school items, the cooperative sought to create a more nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and cared for.

The items donated are the following:
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces Bed Sheets
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces Pillows
• Forty-Eight (48 pieces Blanket
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces Bed Foams
• One Hundred (100) pieces Clothes Hangers
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces Bowl and Plates
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces School Bags
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces School Lunch Box
• Forty-Eight (48) pieces White T-shirts (small & medium size)
• Five (5) units Electric Fans
• Two (2) pieces Electric Kettle

During the turnover program, Director Edgardo Lara welcomed the gathering with a message of
gratitude, expressing appreciation that PECCI MPC had been given the opportunity to serve the PREDA community. He shared that while the donations may appear simple, they carry with them the sincere hope of bringing comfort, joy, and encouragement to every child entrusted to the Foundation's care.

Chairperson Alvin P. Santos reaffirmed that PECCI MPC's commitment to community service extends beyond a single outreach activity. He emphasized that through its Social and Community Development–Technical Working Group, the cooperative will continue to support the needs of the community.

Following the observations made during the tour in the facility, the Board of Directors and officers also identified areas within the facility that may benefit for future maintenance and repair assistance, opening doors for continued collaboration with PREDA Foundation.

Receiving the donations on behalf of the Foundation, Fr. Shay Cullen, Vice-President and Founder of PREDA Foundation, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to PECCI MPC for its generosity and solidarity. He acknowledged that beyond the material assistance, the cooperative's presence and compassion serve as a powerful reminder that the children are surrounded by individuals and organizations who genuinely care about their welfare and future.

The day's activity continued with a joyful McDonald's party that transformed the outreach into a memorable experience for the children. Laughter filled the venue as they enjoyed games, shared their favorite McDonald's meals, and shared excitement during the appearance of “Birdie” the mascot. The warm smiles on their faces and the moments of joy reflected the spirit of the occasion—one where love, friendship, and hope were shared generously.

SCD-TWG Oversight Director Onesimo C. Martinez, in his closing message, reaffirmed PECCI MPC's mission of creating a positive and lasting impact, particularly the most vulnerable sectors of society. He emphasized that every outreach initiative strengthens the cooperative's commitment to supporting
organizations whose work uplifts children, families, and communities. He likewise highlighted PECCI MPC's steadfast advocacy for protecting and respecting the privacy, dignity, and rights of every child, ensuring that service is always carried out with compassion, integrity, and respect.

The outreach to PREDA Foundation stands as another meaningful expression of PECCI MPC's social care mission. It reminds us that genuine service is not measured solely by the value of what is given, but by the hope it brings, the lives it touches, and the lasting relationships it builds.

PECCI MPC Shines Gold at the 6th National GAD Summit

The PECCI Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PECCI MPC) proudly participated in the 6th National Summit on Gender and Development in Cooperatives, held from August 3 to 5, 2026, at the John Hay Convention Center, Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

With the theme "Empowering Generations of Cooperators through GAD," the summit brought together gender equality advocates, cooperative leaders, and representatives from various organizations across the country. Among the distinguished guests was Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Undersecretary Alexander Raquepo.

The PECCI MPC delegation was led by PECCI Vice-Chairperson Marv Kevin Santos and Director Ferdinand Villanueva, Chairperson for Gender and Development, and officers from the Education and Training Committee and GAD Committee.

Adding pride to the PECCI delegation, PECCI GAD Vice Chairperson Christian S. Villar served as one of the emcees during the opening day of the summit, helping create an engaging and meaningful atmosphere for the participants.

The highlight of PECCI MPC's participation was receiving the prestigious 2026 GERC Gender and Development Champion Award – Gold Category. PECCI MPC was one of only 14 cooperatives nationwide to receive the Gold Award, alongside four Silver Awardees.

The award was conferred in recognition of PECCI MPC's outstanding performance in Gender and Development for 2024 and 2025, reflecting the cooperative's unwavering commitment to advancing its GAD advocacy.

During these two years, PECCI GAD demonstrated tremendous effort in promoting gender sensitivity, equality, inclusivity, and diversity through meaningful programs, activities, and awareness initiatives, in line with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and the Gender Equality Resource Center (GERC)'s call for cooperatives to actively champion gender and development.

The recognition also affirms PECCI MPC's success in institutionalizing gender-responsive policies, programs, budgets, structures, and mechanisms, as well as its consistent implementation of GAD plans, timely submission of accomplishment reports, and development of innovative initiatives that promote an inclusive and equitable cooperative community.

PECCI MPC was also privileged to celebrate this milestone with UPCM Chairperson and PECCI Board Secretary Alex Casas, UPCM Directors Noel Santos and Adelle Naig, who was also the former Chairperson of GAD. Their contributions helped strengthen the cooperative's GAD journey through the years.

PECCI MPC is deeply honored and grateful for this recognition. More than an award, this Gold GAD Champion Award inspires PECCI MPC to continue building a cooperative where every member feels respected, valued, heard, and empowered, regardless of gender.

Together, let us continue empowering generations of cooperators through GAD. Watch out for more inclusive, meaningful, and transformative PECCI GAD programs!
