FaB fish pedicure utilises a custom-built filtration system that refreshes each individual tanks five times an hour, eliminating the risk of harmful bacteria and ensuring a healthy environment for both fish and feet. Your feet will be carefully washed before you place them in the pool. Our chinchin fishes have no teeth and are known as ‘lickers’. You will feel a tingling sensation that many people find soothing and similar to a gentle massage. It can feel a little ticklish at first but, when relaxed, you soon start to enjoy it. The fish stimulate acupuncture points, helping to regulate the nervous system and relax the body. During this they release an enzyme known as Dithranol, which helps to soothe and aide a variety of skin disorders, such as psoriasis and eczema. Here at isla de vida spa, we are one of the first to bring this unique treatment to our customers, which you can enjoy in a calm and deep relaxing atmosphere to de-stress and regain confidence in your skin. This exotic treatment begins with a gentle sea salt wash to cleanse your specified area, before submersing yourself into one of our 3 customized tanks; these can accommodate up to 6 people at any one time. At first you will feel a flutter of fins against your skin as the fish gently suck and nibble away. To help you at ease so that you are fully comfortable in your surroundings to embrace this experience, you can sit back and enjoy a complimentary authentic green tea.
