Ces in Scotland

Akala ko kapag OTC medicine, automatic may bayad! 😂💊🇬🇧

So today, nagpunta ako sa pharmacy because I needed something for my acid reflux and nausea.

Usually kasi, kapag may kailangan akong OTC medicine, bumibili ako sa Tesco or other supermarkets — and syempre, nagbabayad ako. 💷😂

Of course, alam ko naman na NHS prescriptions are no charge here in Scotland. Pero ang hindi ko alam… may mga medicines pala na pwedeng ma-provide through certain NHS pharmacy services kahit hindi ka pumunta for a regular prescription. 😳

After ma-assess ako ng pharmacist and may medicine na binigay sa akin, automatic talaga ako:

“How much is it?” 😅

Then sabi niya:

“There’s no charge.”

ME: 😳🫣

“Oh… okay.”

Pero deep inside:

“WAIT LANG… WALANG BAYAD?! 😂”

HAHAHAHA! 🤣

Kasi sa isip ko, OTC = you buy it, you pay for it. Especially dahil ilang beses na rin akong bumili sa supermarket.

Yun pala, depending on your condition and the pharmacist’s assessment, may medicines na NHS-covered through Pharmacy First Scotland, so no charge if you’re eligible and it’s supplied under the service. 💊🆓

Kaya pala dati, kapag sa Tesco ako bumili, bayad. Tapos ngayon sa pharmacy…

“There’s no charge.” 😂
