☀️ Sunny Side Up: Build Your Own Solar! ⚡️

In celebration of Earth Hour 2025, we are taking a bold step towards sustainability, energy independence, and environmental conservation by empowering the fisheries of Balamban with solar energy solutions! 🌊⚡

For many coastal communities, access to reliable and affordable energy is a challenge. Fisherfolk often rely on traditional fuel sources for lighting, equipment, and storage, which can be costly and harmful to the environment. Through this initiative, we aim to bridge the gap by equipping Balamban’s fishing sector with solar-powered systems offering them a cleaner, more cost-effective, and long-term energy solution to support their daily operations.

This hands-on workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to build their own solar power systems, helping them power boats, fish storage facilities, and essential equipment with renewable energy. By harnessing the power of the sun, we can help strengthen livelihoods, protect marine resources, and promote sustainable fishing practices.

📅 Date: March 22, 2025
📍 Venue: Aboitiz Ground, Arpili, Balamban

Led by the Rotaract Club of Cebu 3rd District, in collaboration with West Cebu Estate, Aboitiz InfraCapital, and SEED4COM, this initiative is part of a greater mission to support coastal communities, promote environmental responsibility, and drive innovation in clean energy solutions.

Together, we can make a difference one solar panel at a time. Let’s power up Balamban’s fisheries with sustainable energy and build a future where communities thrive alongside nature! ☀️🌊🔋
