Babe, hygiene isn’t a status symbol, IT'S A PROFESSIONAL STANDARD. Kung para sa’yo "pang-sosyal lang" ang malinis na tools, then you’re mistaking basic hygiene for luxury. 🥹

"Pang sosyal lang daw yung naka-sterilized na tools?" I usually try to mind my own business, but as someone who teaches nail safety, I really have to step in. Let's talk about this.

Sterilization is never a luxury aesthetic or a VIP add-on. Hindi siya "pang sosyal." Basic health and safety protocol ito.

Whether a service is 200 pesos or 2,000 pesos, bacteria, fungi, and viruses do not care. A dirty nipper or pusher can cause a serious infection regardless of how much the client paid.

As nail techs, our number one priority should always be the health of the natural nail. Proper sanitation protects our clients, and it protects our livelihood too.

When we teach that basic hygiene is just for the rich, we drag the whole industry down instead of raising our standards.

To my fellow nail techs, please keep investing in proper education so we understand the why behind our standard operating procedures. And to the clients, don't be afraid to ask your tech how their tools are cleaned before they start.

Your safety is never just "pang sosyal" it is your right as a client.
