A very special post about a special face! Meet Afsaneh — calligrapher, artist, and one of the women frankincense brought into my life. Whatever we wrote doesn’t convey the feeling; her work speaks better.

Based in Oman, Afsaneh’s work is deeply rooted in the land she calls home. Her latest exhibition drew from the nature and quiet peace that define life here — the kind of beauty we sometimes forget to notice until someone renders it in ink. Her calligraphy doesn’t stay on paper. It moves — onto canvases, onto walls, onto the bags she carries and creates. She painted a bag for me that I treasure, carrying the words:

*Strength. Patience. Hope. Love.*
Four words. Everything.

Afsaneh has been an Era woman for three years, and her favourites say a lot about her — the Frankincense Tonic, for the glow she carries so effortlessly, and the Hair Oil to protect every strand. A woman who moves through the world with intention, in her art and in how she takes care of herself.

I’m grateful every day that this little resin opened doors to women like her. I even took her calligraphy classes for a year — and maybe you’ll see a piece of mine in this post too. 🤍
