The Exceptional Extraits collection from the Omani High Perfumery House of Amouage provides opportunities to present a familiar story from a different angle, or in a manner that is more profound or expansive. Amouage’s world of High Perfumery, something you see every day at the Manufacture in Muscat, Oman. Thousands of miles away, at the Harris Reed atelier in London, a similar kind of practice takes place. There are cutting tables, fittings, adjustments, and hours spent working in tune with the materials.

The world of Guidance was brought to London Fashion Week during the Harris Reed runway. As the designer showcased Loud Whispers, the scent enveloped the venue and added an olfactive dimension to the experience.
The moment was part of a broader, ongoing partnership between Amouage and Harris Reed, which continues to explore how fragrance can deepen the experience of fashion and High Perfumery.

At London Fashion Week, Amouage Guidance added an olfactive dimension to Harris Reed’s latest collection, Loud Whispers, enveloping the venue as the looks moved down the runway.
Scented invitations and bespoke hand fans inspired by the Omani ‘Karkousha’ or ‘Tarboosha’, a decorative tassel that hangs from the collarless neckline of a traditional Omani ‘Dishsasha’ and is often perfumed, connected the gathering to an Omani practice of bringing scent into dress.
Following the show, Amouage brought together friends from the fashion and fragrance world for an intimate dinner.
Loud Whispers was part of a broader, ongoing partnership between Amouage and Harris Reed, which continues to explore how fragrance can deepen the experience of fashion and High Perfumery.

In Harris Reed’s universe, a finished silhouette is a result of a process. It is cut, constructed, fitted, adjusted, and refined until the work holds.
For Amouage that kind of patience is integral to its world of High Perfumery. The House’s fragrances also pass through many hands before they reach their final expression. This method is followed from the first thought and conceptualisation of a scent to the finished flacon.
This partnership sits in that shared respect for making and craftsmanship.
Inspired by the collection’s layers of chiffon and its interplay between presence and absence, Guidance moved through the Harris Reed show in much the same way.�
As fabric revealed and concealed the body, the fragrance appeared and receded throughout the guest journey, first as a fleeting trace in the air and then as a presence that gradually became more pronounced as the show progressed.�
By the finale, Guidance was the scent that filled the room.

After the runway, the story of Guidance continued over dinner.
Amouage hosted an intimate gathering following Harris Reed’s Loud Whispers show, bringing together key opinion leaders, press, and fashion personalities for conversation around the collection, fragrance, and the collaboration.
Guidance was integrated into the details of the table too, including a seven-petal rose dessert inspired by the world of the fragrance.
