Dealing with a stiff or achy lower back? Here are 3 simple exercises you can try at home this week: Cat-Cow, Pelvic Tilts, and Child's Pose. These help mobilise the spine and ease general tightness β but if your pain is sharp, persistent, or radiating, it's worth getting assessed properly.
We're at 10 Customhouse Quay in the Wellington CBD, ACC accepted, no referral needed. Book online via the link in our bio.

Tech neck isn't a joke... okay, the walk was a bit of a joke.
But this is real: every hour on your phone roughly doubles the load on your neck. If you're reading this with your chin dropped, you're already doing it.
3 fixes I give patients every week:
Chin tucks β 10 reps, hold 3 seconds
Chest opener β 20 second hold, hands behind your back or in a doorway
Bring the device to eye height β not your neck to the device
Save this for your next scroll break π

Your rotator cuff doesn't just need to be strong β it needs to be fast.
The dumbbell drop catch trains the reactive component of your rotator cuff: the split-second muscle firing that protects your shoulder before your brain has time to think about it.
This is an end-stage rehab exercise and one of our favorite prehab tools for athletes who put load through their shoulder β throwing, swimming, CrossFit, rugby.
If your shoulder has been cleared and you're ready to progress β this is worth adding.
