r a mother. It's no surprise Frances Shoemack was looking for a natural perfume alternative in the niche perfume world. Contrary by nature and not so good at taking 'no' for an answer, if you know Frances, you wouldn't find it surprising that when she was unable to find one, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Relentlessly pealing back the layers of this illusory world, Frances is paving a new path; modern, all natural perfumes that stand up alongside the world's best and don’t compromise on aesthetics or ethics. In order to create these stellar fragrances, Frances needed the right people on board. Transfixed when she saw a video of Master perfumer and fellow New Zealander (Australasia's only "Nose") Isaac Sinclair waxing lyrical about the similarities between perfume and wine, she knew she'd found her guy. The world of scents is enigmatic and it's only fitting that it attracts complex characters. Trained in Paris and Milan and now based in Sao Paulo where he lives with his French perfumer girlfriend and their little boy. Isaac plays commercial fine fragrance perfumer by day, and rock-band-playing Abel-Nose, by night. For Isaac, being on the Abel team is a unique opportunity to create courageous, standout scents, using only the best (natural) ingredients in the world. Working across time zones has it's challenges, but the Abel team have never shied away from a challenge. Instead, they celebrate their choice to do things differently, better. Following the success of their two original fragrances, Vintage ’13 and Tonic, Abel's new vita odor collection is a coming of age for the brand. Not just a contemporary new look, but significantly improved formulae. And while their commitment to organics remains strong, they made a conscious decision to create the best natural perfume possible, not limited to the use of organically certified ingredients.
