✨ Okay, so apparently I REALLY like crystals… 😂💎

Although at this point, like might be a slight understatement.

Crystals have been woven into Food for the Soul since the very beginning. They’re in my candles, my healing space, scattered throughout my home, tucked into handbags and occasionally found in places I’d completely forgotten I’d put them. 😂

For me, it’s about more than how beautiful they are. I love the symbolism, intention and energy I personally associate with them, grounding, protection, love, abundance, clarity and connection. ✨

And just in case anyone questioned the level of commitment… I’ve now buried Selenite, Black Tourmaline, Rose Quartz, Citrine and Clear Quartz into the foundations of my new home and Food for the Soul HQ. 😂

Because apparently having crystals in the house wasn’t enough.

I needed the whole bloody house sitting on them. 😂💎💜

My spiritual baddie. 🧘‍♂️😂✨

I found this beautiful Buddha on a trip to Waiheke Island approximately 9 years ago, and he’s been with me every step of the way since.

He’s flown on planes, travelled in cars, moved homes and sat quietly beside me through the healing, the heartbreak, the growth, the manifestations, the complete plot twists and the occasional “what the actual f**k is the universe doing?” moments. 😂✨

He’s seen some s**t. Enlightened s**t, obviously. 🤣🧘‍♂️

Some things are just things. And some somehow become part of your story. He’s definitely part of mine. 💗

So naturally, wherever I go, he goes.

And obviously… safety first. 😂
Seatbelt firmly fastened because we protect our spiritual baddies at all costs.

✨ The things we surround ourselves with hold meaning ✨

As Food for the Soul evolves, I’ve been thinking about the spiritual icons, symbols and little sacred treasures that have always been part of my world and how naturally they belong within my new branding too. 🌷

Buddhas. Crystals. Roses. Sacred symbols. Oracle cards. Candles. Mala beads. ✨

To someone else, they may simply be beautiful objects. To me, they represent energy, intention, protection, healing, growth and connection.

Some have travelled with me for years. Some mark a particular chapter of my spiritual journey. Others simply carry an energy that feels like home.

So as my branding continues to unfold, you’ll start seeing more of these spiritual touches woven through Food for the Soul, not because they’re aesthetically pretty, but because they genuinely represent me and the heart behind my business.

A little bit feminine. A little bit mystical. A little bit sacred. And completely Food for the Soul. 💗✨🌹

✨ Crystals in My Practice ✨

I’m often asked whether I’m a crystal healer, and the simple answer is, no, I don’t claim to be. 💗

But crystals have always had a beautiful place within my own spiritual practice and, when I feel intuitively called to, they find their way into my work at Food for the Soul too.

I don’t follow a rigid formula. I work intuitively.

Sometimes I’ll feel drawn to place a particular crystal near you during a treatment. Other times I may incorporate crystals alongside Reiki, sound, meditation or energy work and sometimes they’re simply there, quietly holding space.

For me, it’s about listening to that little intuitive nudge and allowing each treatment to unfold in the way it needs to for the person in front of me. ✨

Crystals have traditionally been used as symbols and tools for grounding, intention, protection, love, clarity and balance. While I don’t make medical or healing claims for them, I love the ritual, beauty and intention they can bring to a space and a treatment.

And perhaps that’s what I love most about the way I work…

No two treatments need to look the same.
I bring together the different modalities and tools I’ve learned, then allow intuition to guide what feels right in that moment. 🌿

Sometimes that includes crystals.
Sometimes sound.
Sometimes Reiki.
Sometimes stillness.

Always with intention. Always with care. 💗

A NEW LOOK FOR MY CHAKRA CANDLE RANGE ✨

For over seven years, my Chakra Candles have been part of Food for the Soul, and for most of that time, their look has stayed much the same.

But I’ve realised lately… I haven’t. 💜

My move to the Wairarapa has brought so much change, clarity and fresh energy into my life. And as Food for the Soul moves through its own beautiful rebirth, it felt like the perfect time to shake things up and allow my much-loved Chakra Candle Range to evolve too.

So, I’m saying goodbye to the old jars and welcoming these beautiful white gloss jars. ✨

Each candle will still represent its individual chakra, with its own intention, affirmation and fragrance and of course, each one is still hand-poured with the same love and energy that has always gone into them.

The magic inside hasn’t changed. The outside is simply catching up with the woman and the business I’ve become. 🌸

After seven years, change feels exciting rather than scary. Sometimes we need to give ourselves permission to release what was beautiful, so we can make room for what feels beautiful now.

There felt like no better way to arrange these gorgeous Rose Quartz tumbles than into a heart, because if there’s one crystal synonymous with love, surely this is it. 💗

Soft, gentle and nurturing, Rose Quartz is traditionally associated with the heart chakra and is often used as a symbol of love in all its beautiful forms, romantic love, friendship, compassion, forgiveness and, perhaps most importantly, the love we give ourselves.

What if the vision you’ve been holding for years was never meant to happen then… because you weren’t ready to become the woman who could hold it? 🌙

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

For so long, I’ve dreamed about what I wanted this business to become. I’ve imagined it, journalled it, visualised it, felt it…

But it always seemed just slightly out of reach.

Then, back in June, something shifted.

During a deep three-hour meditation in Martinborough, something within me changed. The first photo on my profile was taken is from that meditation, it was the beginning of a transformation I didn’t fully understand.

And now, something feels different.

I feel different.

The changes in me have gone far beyond my physical body. I’ve changed the way I see myself. The way I trust myself. The way I think about my future. The way I see this business and the purpose behind it.

And somehow, the pieces are beginning to fall into place.

The move to the Wairarapa has felt almost synchronistic. This beautiful place is giving me space to slow down, listen inward and reconnect with the vision that’s been calling me for years.

So, the image attached to this post is your first little sneaky peek at the new website and the chapter that’s unfolding. 🌙✨

What you’re seeing isn’t just a new colour palette.

It’s the beginning of a whole new frequency.

A rebirth.
A return to self.
A manifestation of something I’ve carried within me for a very long time.

And perhaps the most beautiful part is realising that the vision wasn’t out of reach after all.
