My passion is helping people to embrace their natural hair texture, by understanding how to make their curls look healthy, hydrated and beautiful. As a ‘curly girl’ myself, I’ve experienced the challenges of curly hair, and how to style and wear it with confidence. With a background in training, I have turned my attention to using these skills to coach other ‘curlies’. Trained in curl styling by well-known and highly regarded Curl Specialist, The Curl Next Door, I now help people with their journey towards creating beautiful natural curls. The mountain of information found online can be confusing and overwhelming. A session in my private curl studio provides a relaxed environment where we can discuss your hair and individual goals before cleansing, hydrating and styling/drying using premium curl friendly products, to reveal your best curls. You may like to just sit back and enjoy the experience while we see what’s possible for you and your curls, or be engaged in an individualised session with the aim to take away skills, knowledge and confidence to continue with your journey at home. I love seeing the transformation and the smile on people’s faces. Accepting your curls and learning about the best techniques and products to care for them, allows you to express your true self. I’m a firm believer that we look our best when we use the features we were born with, curls and all! I'd love to see you some time in my Hokowhitu curl salon.

Such an uplifting coaching session - helping another curly girl to embrace the beauty of her natural curls. She called in a few days later and I was so impressed with how quickly she had picked up the styling techniques. Styled with Cabela Creme Supreme for additional hydration and definition (and great for refreshing too!), along with a humid weather gel. Beautiful 💙

This was a fun session, teaching this curly girl how to accentuate her beautiful wavy curls. She is wearing her hair down for an upcoming special event, length retained with more shape. She never knew her curls could look like this 😍

Lovely little session for this teen. She knew her hair was curly, but she wasn't sure if it was able to curl from the top (yes it can ☑️) . Light trim as she wants to retain as much length as possible. Clarifying cleanse, then hydrated with Curl Restorer and styled with Cabela Curl Styling Elixir. Gorgeous 💗

Super stunning curls - second visit, cut/reshape and style for this curly girl. Absolutely love the hydration and definition. I was so pleased to hear she she heading out for dinner afterwards - guessing she would have had received lots of curl compliments! Results achieved with a clarifying cleanse, treatment, curl cream and gel 😍😍😍

This was one of those sessions... she came in curious to know more about her hair that had become more wavy and frizzy in recent years. No cut, we just focused on finding out what was possible, and learning the all important techniques. Her curls are simply beautiful 💗.

Look at these beautiful curls 😍. I knew from the moment she walked through the door that her curls were going to be amazing. She was keen to move away from her long graduated bob towards a more rounded shape☑️, and learn ways to better define her curls☑️. A really uplifting session and gorgeous result.

What a lovely session this was 😁. This curly girl felt she had lost her curls after keratin treatments in the past. Today we rediscovered her stunning natural curls!!! No cut today - she plans to gain some more length. Love, love, love to see results like this.
