I've been massaging this guy for almost 3 years now. Thanks for the ongoing trust Wally 🤝🫡
We're on the home-stretch for the end of the year. If work is picking up and you're bordering that fine line of staying afloat and burning out. Here's your reminder to give yourself at least one hour to recharge.
📍Cambridge and Rotorua.
After 38 massages by myself on the first weekend, I had to call in reinforcements for the second weekend! Thank you to everyone that came through 🙏 unfortunately we wont be there this weekend, but we are hoping to come back next year 🤝

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to run my own business. I did Camp America in Connecticut when I was 18, and when I came back, I was convinced I could run a summer camp in Sydney. As I got older, I wanted to get into Social Work and thought about creating a youth facility for young people to come and receive support - from counseling to accommodation to teaching life skills.
Not once before I became a massage therapist did I ever consider becoming a massage therapist. Massage always came naturally to me, I was often told how good I was at it. When I finally realised I could turn this into a career, everyone who knew me all had the same response - "Ohhhhh of course!" Light bulb moment for us all lol
As I come to my three year mark since opening Recharge Therapy, I reflect on the growth I have made as a person and as a business owner. I'm not perfect. I make mistakes, I can forget to reply to msgs, I might accidentally double book you, I'll smash out content and then go silent.. and once a year, I'll leave my clients stranded for six weeks while I go on holiday 🙈
However, amongst the flaws, there have been leaps and bounds of growth. I learn from mistakes, I receive countless "thank you so much," "I just had the best sleep," "I just tied my shoes with no pain" messages. It's so easy to look at our faults and our mistakes. But how good is it to look back and realise you've fulfilled something you always wanted to do? With every "thank you" I receive, it reminds me how my clients are a big reason why I'm approaching my third year of business! - Thank you for supporting me and reminding the inner child in me that I did it!
He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata!
Candra was first on my table nearly 4 years ago. We laugh now at how our friendship formed because we didnt know how to transition client/massage therapist conversation to yarns over a coffee lol fast forward to last year, she tells me that shes had a stroke. Go forward another year, and she's on her way to Spain to help support other young women who may have experienced similar health scares. I'm so incredibly proud of her and look forward to celebrating her when she returns!
