Exciting News: The Legacy of Demop continues. While demop is closing in it's current form, the space itself is staying alive!

Our loyal and talented stylists Sophie and Li, are officially taking over the reins! They will be operating as independent self employed hairdressers right here from the exact same premises in the Titirangi village.

We are currently helping them behind the scenes to get set up in their new venture. As many of you know Li is away on a well deserved holiday. We are absolutely delighted that upon her return she will be greeted by her clients and not by closed doors.

Sophie and Li are hopeful, enthusiastic and ready to welcome you into their chairs to join them on their new challenge.

Thank you all for your incredible loyalty and support during this transition. Please join us in wishing Sophie and Li the absolute best of luck in their new business venture.

An open letter to the Community
DEMOP CLOSES ITS DOORS FOR THE LAST TIME. FRIDAY JULY 31ST.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Demop
after nearly 40 years of serving this wonderful village and employing locals.

As the oldest remaining business in our community, this decision
was incredibly difficult to make, but we have reached a point where we can no longer sustain our operations.

We will be closing our doors for the last time on Friday July 31st. July
First and foremost we want to express our deepest gratitude to every single one of you. From the loyal customers who have walked through our doors since our very first week in the 1980s, to the families who have supported us across generations, you have been the heartbeat of our business.

Unfortunately our situation has shifted rapidly. Virtually overnight, we experienced the devastating loss of a large portion of our customers to a nearby competitor.
Despite our best efforts to adapt, innovate and weather the storm, the immediate and severe drop in revenue has proved impossible to recover from.

So sadly the six people who remain, will lose their incomes.
We feel profoundly sad that we can no longer provide support for our remaining team members, they are not just employees, they are our neighbours, our friends and our family.
We will do our best to support them while we look for someone to take over the business or the lease.
