I love her ♥️

3 years of doing Rosa’s hair — this we did a freshen up mainly around her face + halo, then freshened up the bright, golden blonde

My gorgeous client Veri 🤍

We do a big cut and colour once a year, then she comes back every four months for a trim and colour refresh to keep everything looking its best.

Veri has fine, lightweight hair and loves volume, so layers are everything for her. They give her hair the lift and movement it needs to really come alive rather than sitting flat and losing its shape.

Her colour is designed to work with this too. Deeper, richer roots and underneath with pops of light caramel and golden tones through the lengths and around the face. On curly hair that contrast of depth and light creates real dimension, so instead of reading as one flat tone the curls catch the light as they move and you get that beautiful natural warmth through it.

The cut, the layers and the colour all working together as one. That’s how fine curly hair gets the volume, shape and life it deserves 🌀

Another day, another curl transformation ♥️

Nearly 7 months since her last cut and she was ready - shorter, layers lifted, shape back ✂️

We dry cut first to work with the natural fall of the curl, then I spritzed my special bottle mix halfway through to check in with how the curls were feeling.

For this client I cut using the curly girl method - no thinning shears, no slicing, no point cutting. Every snip is clean and blunt.

Here’s why:

On curly hair - removing weight from the mid-length or ends thins out the exact part of the curl that needs density to hold its shape.

On straight hair that creates movement - on a curl, it breaks the ringlet down. You end up with ends that look wispy and frizzy instead of bouncy and full.

Keeping the cut clean means the curl holds its density all the way through, springs up properly and closes neatly at the tip.

That said, this isn’t the right approach for every curly client…

This method works brilliantly for hair like hers, where the curl is defined and we want to protect every bit of that fullness.

But for someone with very thick, dense or heavy hair that’s being weighed down and losing its spring?
A small amount of carefully placed slicing can actually help - removing weight in targeted areas so the curl can lift and move freely rather than drop under its own bulk.

✍🏼 It’s all about reading the hair in front of you and making a considered call. Not one rule for every head.

📚My books are currently closed to new curly clients — but if you’d like to be added to my waitlist, just drop me a message and I’ll be in touch when a space opens up 🖤

Finished with the full range 🌀

“babe I know we didn’t have a cut booked in but, I think it’s essential… is that ok?”

When darker low lights, going warmer and throwing out the purple shampoo, doesn’t actually mean darker…

Isn’t she a gorgy, creamy blonde girly now

I think this might be the best way to do your hair appointments?

These two besties booked the salon for the day together for their hair refresh, turning it into a full catch up while their hair was transforming. Working between foils, byo lunch, matcha deliveries (thank you angels 🙌🏽) and hyping each other up

First up, for Izzie we created an auburn copper with a soft golden undertone to give that natural redhead feel. Can you guess her natural colour? 🎨

Using all Igora Royal by because I love their true to tone results, rich colour and reliable coverage - Comment below if you’d like me to share the colour breakdown
