Why we choose to leave out parabens?

Parabens are a group of synthetic chemicals commonly used as preservatives in cosmetics, skincare and haircare products, like shampoo. Think of methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben and ethylparaben.

We choose to avoid parabens in our products, as they can cause irritation, redness or itchiness, especially for sensitive skin. Also, there are some studies suggesting that parabens can mimic estrogen (a female hormone), which can cause hormonal disbalance.

Instead of parabens we use glyceryl caprylate, a natural alternative, in our 4-in-1 Wash.
