PDRN is having a moment right now, and for good reason. Originally known from skin booster injections, this biotech-derived ingredient (100% pure DNA/RNA, non-animal origin) is now showing up in serums, and SkinCeuticals’ new Phyto Corrective PDRN Serum is one of the first to bring it into an at-home formula.
What it actually does: supports barrier repair, calms redness, and eases the discomfort that comes with reactive or post-procedure skin, while a hydrating glycerin + hyaluronic acid complex keeps skin comfortable for 48 hours. Autumn is just around the corner, and while we’re still crossing our fingers for a few more sunny Amsterdam days, it’s never too early to get your fall treatments on the calendar🍂
As sun exposure naturally drops, this is the perfect window for treatments that need lower UV exposure to heal safely and deliver their best results.
This is the season we recommend:
BBL (BroadBand Light) — targets sun damage, pigmentation, and redness built up over summer. Best done with minimal sun exposure to support even, safe healing.
Moxi — a gentle, non-ablative laser that resurfaces and refreshes with virtually no downtime. Lower sun exposure means less risk of post-treatment pigmentation.
Vivace — RF microneedling that stimulates collagen and improves texture and tone. Ideal for fall since it pairs well with a season of consistent, lower-exposure aftercare.
Deeper chemical peels — stronger peels remove damaged surface layers more effectively, but need reduced sun exposure afterward to heal properly and avoid hyperpigmentation.
Sun exposure plays a big role in how well skin heals after these treatments, which is exactly why autumn is the ideal time to get started.
