Is not what you actually have at the moment but What you do with what you have is what determines your future.
You are graduate with BSc, HND etc, you don't know what to do with it, and all you think of is getting a master's degree? Trust me sincerely, you won't still know what to do when you finally get the master's degree.
Leverage on what you have consistently .

You become what you think, day in and day out. Fill your mind with negativity, comparison, or self-doubt, and eventually, life starts to feel heavy too.

Your emotions aren't your enemies—they're messengers. Fear points to what truly matters. Anger shows where your boundaries were crossed. Anxiety often appears when your mind races ahead, instead of staying where your feet actually are.

Motivation is fleeting and unreliable. What truly transforms your life is habit—the small, consistent actions you take daily. They shape who you become far more than any temporary burst of inspiration ever will.

Your past is not your identity. It's a lesson, a chapter—something to learn from, not a place to build a permanent home.

When someone triggers you, pause before reacting. Sometimes people expose wounds you didn't even know were still healing. That reaction is information.

And control? Most of it is an illusion. You can't dictate every outcome, person, or situation. But you can choose how you respond—your choices, your mindset, the energy you bring.

In the end, it's simple:
Your thoughts shape your reality.
Your habits shape your future.
And your choices shape who you become.

As a graduate maximize your social media presence.

If you know how to write, position yourself here, most of us will read your story and appreciate your creativity.

If you know how to dance, let smile with our phone in our rooms and offices while watching you dance.

If you know how to sing, we are ready to listen to you melody that will add value and gladden our spirit .

Let someone navigate your page and read something meaningful rather than blackmail, pushing blames, excuses, complain and lamentations.

If dwell so much in complain, people who no longer see your strength and what you are capable of but rather they'll begin to see you as a weak person because weak people complain, strong and value oriented people sort for options.
NOBODY IS GOING TO SAVE YOU NOT EVEN PETER OBI, TINUBU, AMAECHI, ATIKU and the likes.
You own yourself that future you are dreaming about.

Most people think the lesson starts when the teacher begins to talk.

It doesn't.

It starts the moment curiosity walks into the room.

A learner stood before a simple cardboard display.

On one side, Conductors.

On the other, Insulators.

Then came the real magic.

Instead of asking students to memorize definitions, he connected a battery, a bulb, a buzzer, and wires.

One by one, different materials were tested.

Aluminum. A safety pin. A screw. Plastic. Wood. Paper. An eraser. A pencil.

The bulb either lit up or stayed dark.

No long lecture.

No pressure to cram.

Just discovery.

In that moment, science stopped being a chapter in a textbook. It became an experience.

And experiences stay longer than explanations.

This is the kind of learning Africa needs more of.

Learning that invites questions instead of silence.

Learning that encourages learners to predict before they are told the answer.

Learning that replaces "Because the teacher said so" with "I saw it happen."

When students touch, test, observe, fail, laugh, and try again, they are not only learning science.

They are building curiosity, confidence, critical thinking, and problem solving.

The future will not reward those who only remember facts.

It will reward those who know how to investigate, experiment, and think.

At EdSkills Africa, we believe every classroom can become a laboratory of ideas, even with simple, affordable materials.

Because the brightest minds are not switched on by electricity alone.

They are switched on by meaningful learning experiences.

What practical classroom activity has stayed with you long after you left school?

Share it in the comments.

Let's inspire more teachers to make learning unforgettable.

A recruiter contacted me recently.

They expressed excitement at the prospect of collaborating with me and complemented my expertise and abilities.

Everything was going smoothly.

They then inquired about my base of operations.
"Nigeria," I responded.

The discussion became silent.

Perhaps hiring rules were to blame. Time zones, perhaps. I'm not sure.

I am aware that many gifted professionals throughout Africa had similar experiences.

There are over 10k of highly qualified virtual assistants, operations specialists who are more than capable of producing outstanding work. However, before skill has a chance, location frequently becomes the deciding factor.
Transparency is very important to recruiters and hiring managers if location is a real business barrier. Silence is much worse than a simple chat.
Don't let situations like this make you doubt your value, fellow job hunters. Continue honing your abilities, continue to apply, and continue to show up. You won't have to apologize for where you live when the proper chance arises.
Talent is found everywhere. Opportunity ought to aspire to be as well.
Have you ever been disregarded due to your place of residence?

Some Nigerian companies are disguising full-time jobs as “internships.”

The responsibilities read like a regular employee’s.

The working hours are those of a regular employee.

The expectations are those of a regular employee.

The only thing “intern” about the role is the salary.

An internship is meant to provide structured learning, mentorship, and exposure, not serve as a way to get full-time output at a fraction of the cost.

If you need someone to own a role, call it what it is and pay accordingly.

Job seekers deserve transparency, not creative job titles.

Africa's future will not be donated, it will be built by Africans who dare to believe, invest and lead. Prof. Lumumba's message is a powerful call to own our destiny and forge partnerships rooted in strength, vision and shared prosperity.
