Stop doing this immediately after childbirth!
Many new moms are so eager to get back to their pre-pregnancy shape that they rush into wearing tight girdles or waist trainers right after delivery.
But here is the truth: forcing your body into tight compression wear can actually do more harm than good to your health.
This is why tight girdles right after birth can be dangerous:
Pushes down on your pelvic floor: Excessive pressure can weaken your pelvic floor muscles, leading to organ prolapse or urinary leakage.
Restricts breathing and core engagement: It prevents your diaphragm from moving naturally, which is crucial for deep core recovery.
Traps heat and moisture: Can cause skin irritation or increase inflammation around healing incisions (especially after a C-section).
Your priority right after birth shouldn't be fitting into an ideal shape, it should be healing, comfort, and recovery.
Focus on resting, staying hydrated, and letting your body recover naturally before embarking on light, safe exercises.
You don’t need the body of a supermodel, you just brought a whole human being into the world!
Be kind, give yourself grace, and love your body for what it just accomplished.
Now over to you, moms!
Did you use a tight girdle after delivery, or did you give your body time to rest? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

Pregnant mums, if you're always having heartburn, this is for you.
Heartburn is a burning feeling in your chest that happens when stomach acid flows back up into your throat.
It's very common during pregnancy because pregnancy hormones relax the muscles that normally keep stomach acid down. As your baby grows, your womb also puts pressure on your stomach, making heartburn more likely.
Here are a few things that may help:
- Eat smaller meals more often instead of large meals.
- Cut down on spicy, oily, and greasy foods.
- Avoid drinking a lot of water or other liquids just before going to bed.
- Stay upright after eating and avoid lying down immediately.
- Sleeping with your head and upper body slightly raised using pillows may help.
- Coffee, alcohol, and chocolate can make heartburn worse, so it's best to limit or avoid them.
If these tips don't help and your symptoms continue, speak with your healthcare provider. They can recommend pregnancy-safe treatment to help you feel better.
Foods to avoid or limit in early pregnancy.
The first 12 weeks of pregnancy are crucial because this is when your baby’s organs are actively forming. Food safety during this trimester isn't just about satisfaction, it's about protecting both you and your growing baby from harmful bacteria.
Check the comments section for a comprehensive list of what to avoid or limit👇

BEFORE YOU GET PREGNANT, READ THIS!!
There’s been a lot of discussion online lately about whether a man’s s***m can contribute to a woman developing pre-eclampsia during pregnancy.
The short answer? Yes, paternal factors play a major role—and it comes down to immunology and genetics.
Most people treat pre-eclampsia as strictly a maternal issue, but medicine proves it takes two.
It’s not about blame, it’s about understanding your risks before conception so both partners can prepare and protect the pregnancy.
Check the comment section below for the complete breakdown on how paternal genes affect pregnancy!

PAINFUL S*X IS NOT NORMAL
I need to say something plain, and I don't care how uncomfortable it makes people feel:
S*x is not supposed to hurt.
As a nurse, I’ve had women whisper things to me in private that they were too ashamed to say out loud.
"Nurse, is it normal to feel like I’m being cut inside during s*x?"
"Nurse, I just endure it because I want to make my partner happy."
"Nurse, I think something is wrong with me."
Let’s get one thing straight today: Painful s*x, medically called Dyspareunia, is more common than many people realize, but it should never be ignored.
Pain may be felt:
At the entrance of the va**na during pe*******on.
Deep inside the pelvis during or after s*x.
There are many possible causes, including:
• Vaginal dryness (especially after childbirth or during menopause)
• Vaginal or pelvic infections
• Endometriosis
• Fibroids
• Ovarian cysts
• Pelvic inflammatory disease
• Scarring from previous surgery
• Certain skin conditions affecting the v***a
Not every cause is physical. Emotional stress, anxiety, previous s*xual trauma, relationship difficulties, or fear of pain can also make s*x uncomfortable or painful by causing the pelvic floor muscles to tighten.
It's also important to understand that dyspareunia is different from vaginismus.
Dyspareunia means s*xual in*******se is painful.
Vaginismus is an involuntary tightening of the va**nal muscles that makes pe*******on difficult or impossible.
Sometimes, both conditions can occur together.
The good news? Painful s*x is treatable.
Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include:
Lubricants or va**nal moisturizers
Treatment for infections
Hormonal therapy where appropriate
Pelvic floor physiotherapy
Counseling or s*x therapy when emotional factors contribute
Treatment of conditions like endometriosis or fibroids
Remember:
S*x should not be something you fear.
Pain is not something you should simply "manage."
Your symptoms deserve proper medical evaluation.
If you experience persistent pain during s*x, don't suffer in silence. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional. Getting the right diagnosis is the first step toward feeling better.

He’s such a quiet baby, he slept 8 hours straight! 🚩🚩
As sweet as that sounds to a tired new mom...
As healthcare workers, this makes us PANIC.
A newborn sleeping 8 hours without feeding is NOT "unproblematic."
They are likely experiencing HYPOGLYCEMIA - low blood sugar.
Because they haven’t eaten, their body doesn’t even have energy to wake up and cry for food.
THIS WHAT EVERY NEW PARENT MUST KNOW:
1. FIRST FEED MATTERS: Baby should breastfeed within 30-60 minutes of birth.
2. FEED EVERY 2-3 HOURS: For the first few weeks. If baby is sleeping past that, WAKE THEM TO FEED.
3. FED IS BEST: If your milk hasn’t come in, talk to your midwife about formula.
Brain safety comes FIRST. You can always go back to exclusive breastmilk later.
Don’t let "our culture" tell you an oversleeping newborn is a "gentle child."
It can be dangerous.
