A Beauty Company

People often think makeup artists simply apply makeup.

But after over a decade in the industry, Toyin Eko’ sees it very differently.

For her, makeup has never been just about beauty. It’s about confidence. It’s about watching someone look in the mirror and seeing them light up because they finally feel like the best version of themselves.

She also believes one of the biggest misconceptions about the profession is that it ends with brushes and products. In reality, makeup artists are artists, educators, problem solvers, and sometimes even confidence coaches. Every face tells a different story, and their job is to enhance what makes each person uniquely beautiful.

When it comes to trends, she welcomes them—but doesn’t let them define her work. Trends can inspire, but individuality should always come first. The most beautiful looks are the ones that reflect the person wearing them, not just what’s popular online.

Like many creatives, she’s also had to navigate quiet seasons with fewer client bookings while trying to stay consistent with content creation. Those moments have taught her one important lesson: keep showing up, keep creating with intention, and keep evolving without losing your identity.

What does it mean to THRIVE?
Thriving isn’t about perfection — it’s about alignment, intention, and continuous evolution.

• T-take ownership of your relationships
• H- honor your values and beliefs
• R- recharge intentionally
• I- invest in your growth
• V- value your work
• E- embrace setbacks as part of the journey.

As creatives and professionals, it’s easy to get caught up in performance and expectations. But real growth happens when we become more intentional about how we live, work, and show up.

This is the mindset I’m building with, both as a makeup artist and as a creative evolving into something bigger.
