If You’re Not Speaking It, You’re Not Activating It.

Any promise you are not speaking will not come to pass.

If you don’t change your name to Abraham, you will not have children. Until you start calling yourself the father of nations, the promise is not activated.

It’s not just about praying, sir. It’s called the confession of faith.

I hope you know that in the early days of the Church, there were two ways Christianity was described: “The Way”and “The Great Confession.”

It was unbelievers who called Christians “Christians,” but Christians called themselves “People of the Way” and “People of the Great Confession.”

Everything about Christianity is voice-activated.

We worship the Word. Everything about Christianity is voice-activated. So, if you are not speaking, you are not acknowledging.

Scripture says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging…”

That word “acknowledging” is also connected to confession.

So, what you have not said, God is not bound to do. If you are not confessing it, it will not show.

Are you understanding what I’m saying?

The first thing is this: you have to speak it.

And that speaking means you are waging a good warfare.

Why Should You Fast for a Miracle? You Are a Sheep, Not a Goat.

A lady came to me and said she heard from God. Now, I didn’t hear from God for her; she said she heard from God and came to me.

She told me that God had told her He would provide.

When people make claims like that, there are certain ways I check. I asked her this question, then that question, and she answered clearly.

I said, “I believe you heard from God. Well, Godspeed.”

This was about three months before her tuition was due, about $18,000 or more. I can’t really remember the exact amount.

A month before the deadline, the pressure started rising.

Three weeks before the deadline, she called me.

She said, “P.D., did God really speak to me?”

I said, “Am I God? You told me He spoke to you.”

I understood what was happening. She was beginning to doubt because the situation was getting more difficult. So I encouraged her:

“Don’t observe lying vanities and forsake your mercy.”

When it was just one week to the deadline, she called me again.

She said, “Do you think maybe I should do a three-day dry fast? Should I pray? Should I do something?”

I was driving past Burger King in America when the Holy Spirit inspired me to ask her a question.

I called her name and said:

“If you see a child coming out of a restaurant like Burger King, and the child is malnourished and starving, and you have three burgers in your hand, what would you do?”

She paused and said, “P.D., there’s nothing to think about. I’ll give the child the burgers.”

I asked, “How many would you give the child?”

She said, “As many as I can afford, so the child can be okay.”

Then I asked her:

“Would the child have to ask you?”

She said, “No.”

By then, I think she was beginning to understand my point.

So I asked her:

“Are you better than God? Are you better than God? If a child doesn’t need to fast for three days to receive a burger from you, why should you fast for a miracle from God?”

See, let me tell you something: people’s minds can become so damaged by certain religious ideas.

People fast for healing.

Your mind can become so conditioned that you are sick, and instead of receiving healing, you think you have to fast to convince God to heal you.

It is a slave mindset.

You are a sheep, not a goat.

Sheep follow; they don’t have to figure out the entire route themselves.

It’s like getting on a plane. I don’t know the way to Kenya. I simply sit on the plane and trust that the pilot knows the way.

I don’t have to know the way.

I just have to be in the vehicle that is going where I am going.

That’s all.

This Christian thing is not hard.

Happy 66th Independence, Nigeria and all Nigerians. We can and we will have a new Nigeria of our dreams when each of us practice integrity, honesty, loyalty, and above all, the fear of God Almighty and love for our neighbors. The Word of God says to do unto others as you would have them do to you. When we make this one of our guiding principles, we will have less of violence and crime will gradually fade away. The society breeds the leaders. So if the society is clean, the leaders will be upright. Long live Nigeria. God bless Nigeria. Amen.
