I almost cried over a sale I didn’t make 😒😂

You know the painful part? I had done everything right !🤦‍♀️

And honestly , it wasn’t even because of the money .

It was because of the effort I made and the zeal to meet up with the sales target I gave myself for the week. No

Let me tell y’all what happened……

This was an old customer I met as far as 2024 Feb.
We lost contact for a while but luckily, reconnected on Facebook.

she reached out because she needed products that could improve her skin. She had been battling with hyperpigmentation after childbirth.

So, we moved the conversation to WhatsApp cause I wanted to properly understand what she needed .

The first thing I asked her , was her skin type .

When it comes to skincare , especially Oriflame’s product , you need to understand the person’s skin type and Most importantly, the problem they’re trying to solve .

Although, she showed me some Products she already had in mind to get . But after listening to her concerns and looking at the products she wanted to buy , I realized that those products might not necessarily address the problem she had complained about .

I took my time to explain everything and why she needed those ones I recommended .

She was very satisfied with the ones I recommended ofcourse 😇… so I sent her our official catalog price and totalled the products , then sent to her .

Then she asked… aren’t you giving me discount ?

I told her, since you’re an old customer , I’ll cover the delivery fees for you .

She still insisted I reduce the price .

I removed what I could and told her , “this is honestly my best price “.

Then came the statement that made me pause!

She said she had another vendor and wanted to ask the vendor for the same products , that if hers is cheaper , she will buy from her instead .

And my response was, is that a threat? 😂

But I didn’t argue. I simply told her that the price is my best price .

Later she replied , saying that she wasn’t ready to buy the product. That when she needs it , she’d let me know .

Fast forward , I did a little check on her few days later Cause I was also trying to make an order to know if I would add hers to cart.

Guess what? 😂😂

She said, she already bought from the other vendor , that she sold them cheaper for her . Then added that my own price was higher .

Mind you , I gave her the official oriflame’s catalog price and still gave discounts on it and covered delivery fees .

She still bought from someone else .

I won’t lie . I felt bad!!!

I felt like , I did majority of the work , I mean she could have just reached to that vendor earlier other than me.

Now , this is what I picked from this ,

Sometimes, some customers aren’t looking for the best recommendations, they’re after where they can buy things cheaper .

And that’s perfectly okay!

But again , you don’t need to undervalue your bsuiness just to keep every customer.
