Peter Obi paid a visit to businessman Isaac Fayose at his Abuja residence, where both men shared a conversation on leadership, criticism, and political support.

During the visit, Obi said he welcomes correction whenever he makes mistakes, stressing that good leadership requires humility and a willingness to learn.

“Anytime I’m doing something wrong, I want people to tell me so I can correct myself. A leader must always listen and learn,” Obi said.

Responding, Isaac Fayose declared his support, saying:

“We are together. We are winning.”

Obi also defended the Obidient movement against online attacks, claiming that many of those insulting Fayose are not genuine supporters.

“All those abusing you are not our members. They are members of other parties pretending to be Obidients,” Obi stated.

Fayose replied that social media personality VeryDarkMan had made a similar point to him.

Concluding the visit, Fayose reaffirmed his allegiance to Obi, saying:

“Can your leader visit you? Our incoming president. So shall it be in Jesus’ name, Amen. To those criticizing me, I’m 100% Obidient. Are you Obidient? Be Obidient.”

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to visit the United States on Tuesday for high-level diplomatic talks amid growing tension following President Donald Trump’s warning about alleged k+llings of Christians in Nigeria.

According to presidency sources quoted by SaharaReporters, Tinubu’s visit will focus on strengthening security and diplomatic cooperation between both nations. Trump has reportedly delegated his Vice President, James David Vance, to meet with Tinubu during the trip, barring any last-minute changes.

Daniel Bwala, Media Aide to President Tinubu, confirmed that both leaders share a strong commitment to combating terr+rism and promoting global peace. He noted that the Trump administration had previously supported Nigeria through arms sales, which Tinubu’s government continues to utilize in the fight against insurgency.

He added that any differences between both governments regarding the religious nature of terr+rism in Nigeria would be addressed during the meeting.

The visit comes after Trump’s recent threat to cut U.S. aid to Nigeria or deploy American troops if the Nigerian government fails to stop what he described as the “k+lling of Christians.” The Nigerian presidency has since dismissed the claims, insisting there is no state-sponsored persecution of Christians.

Tinubu maintained that Nigeria’s constitution guarantees freedom of religion and equal rights for all citizens, describing Trump’s remarks as a “mischaracterisation” of the nation’s religious landscape. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting unity, tolerance, and continued cooperation with the U.S. and other international partners.
