HOW YOU CAN PROTECT YOUR KIDNEYS?
●Reduce the amount of salt you add to meals.
● Cut down on processed foods, instant noodles, and salty snacks.
● Check sodium levels on food labels.
● Choose fresh foods more often.
● Be mindful of hidden salt in your everyday meals
NOTE:
You don't need to eliminate salt completely. Your body needs some sodium to function. The key is to avoid consuming too much.
❤️ Your kidneys work for you every second of the day. Don't let excess salt make their job harder!

5 WAYS EXCESS SALT CAN AFFECT YOUR KIDNEYS
1. It can raise your blood pressure.
Too much sodium makes your body retain water, which can increase blood pressure and put extra strain on your blood vessels.
2. It puts extra strain on your kidneys.
Your kidneys have to maintain the balance of sodium and fluid in your body. Excessive salt intake can make this balance harder to manage.
3. It can increase your risk of kidney damage.
Consistently high blood pressure can damage the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys, reducing their ability to filter waste effectively.
4. It can cause fluid retention.
Excess sodium encourages your body to hold on to water, potentially causing swelling in your feet, ankles, or other parts of your body, especially if you have kidney or heart problems.
5. It may increase your risk of kidney stones.
A high-sodium diet can increase the amount of calcium in your urine, making certain types of kidney stones more likely to form.

DO YOU EAT TOO MUCH SALT?
YOUR KIDNEYS MAY BE PAYING THE PRICE! 🧂
Do you know that the excess salt you add to your food every day could be putting your kidneys under pressure 👀 ??
Your kidneys help regulate sodium and fluid levels in your body.
But when you consume too much salt regularly, it can affect their health in several ways.

8 SIGNS YOUR KIDNEYS MAY BE WORKING WELL
PART 2:
Your kidneys play a vital role in filtering waste, balancing fluids and maintaining your overall health
Here are 8 signs that may indicate your kidneys are functioning well.
1. Your urine is not persistently foamy.
Occasional bubbles may be normal, but persistent foamy urine could indicate protein in the urine and should be checked.
2. You have no pain or discomfort when urinating.
Passing urine comfortably is reassuring. However, pain-free urination does not necessarily mean your kidneys are healthy.
3. There is no visible blood in your urine.
Urine should not contain visible blood. Red, pink or brown urine should be medically assessed, even if you have no pain.
4. You have good energy levels.
Healthy kidneys support important body functions, including red blood cell production. Persistent fatigue can sometimes be associated with kidney disease.

🫘 8 SIGNS YOUR KIDNEYS MAY BE WORKING WELL 👇👇
PART 1:
Your kidneys play a vital role in filtering waste, balancing fluids and maintaining your overall health.
Here are 8 signs that may indicate your kidneys are functioning well.
1. Your urine is light yellow.
Light-yellow urine often indicates adequate hydration, although urine colour alone cannot confirm kidney health.
2. You urinate regularly.
Passing urine at your usual frequency may indicate normal fluid balance and kidney function. However, urination patterns vary from person to person.
3. You don't have unusual swelling.
Healthy kidneys help remove excess fluid. Persistent swelling of the feet, ankles, hands or face should not be ignored.
4. Your blood pressure is within a healthy range.
Your kidneys help regulate blood pressure. Healthy blood pressure supports kidney health, while kidney problems can also cause high blood pressure.
