That’s the okra water remedy a lot of people talk about 👇

How people usually make it
1. Wash 4-5 fresh okra pods well
2. Slice off the heads and tails then cut the pods in half or slice them
3. Put the sliced okra in a glass jar/cup
4. Add 1-2 cups of clean water and cover it
5. Soak overnight - about 8-12 hours
6. In the morning, sieve out the okra and drink the slimy water on an empty stomach
7. Some people also drink another cup at night before bed

The water becomes a bit thick/slimy because of the okra mucilage.

Why people use it
Traditionally people use okra water hoping it helps with:
- Blood sugar support - okra contains fiber and compounds that may slow sugar absorption
- Digestion - the mucilage is soothing
- Hydration + nutrients - okra has vitamins, antioxidants

Important things to know
1. It’s not a cure for diabetes. It may help as a support, but it doesn’t replace medication prescribed by a doctor.

2. Results vary - what works for one person may not work for another

3. Possible effects: Some people get bloating or stomach upset from drinking it

4. Medication interaction: If you’re on diabetes medication, check with a healthcare professional first. Combining it with meds can sometimes make blood sugar drop too low.

There are people in life whose love you can never trade for anything. Their presence, care, and unwavering support are simply priceless.

One of God’s greatest blessings is placing those right people in our lives.

5 summers as a teenager... half with you, half with their friends, earphones in, but still wanting you to drive.

And then... they’re adults. Paying their own way, making their own plans.

It makes every “just one more summer” feel so precious. The chaos, the mess, the sunscreen fights... that’s the stuff we’ll miss.

Enjoy every sticky, loud, exhausting moment. You’ll never get that exact summer back ❤️
