HALLELUJAH, ABDUCTED ORIIRE KIDS, TEACHERS RESCUED, TERRORISTS KILLED, 8 ARRESTED.

After this big breakthrough and rescue of the Oriire kids and their teachers, my faith in the DSS has grown. What a tactical masterclass! No ransom paid, no terrorist commander released in exchange. Indeed, Mallam Abba, Mamuda, Abu Barra, leaders of Ansaru, the terrorist group that carried out the abduction remain in prison. The trial of Abu Barra has even begun.

With the safe return of 284 Nigerians yesterday, Phase 4 of our evacuation operation in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria has brought the total number of Nigerians safely repatriated from South Africa due to the xenophobic attacks to 1,085.

For us, this mission was more than a flight. It was a humanitarian commitment; driven by compassion, national pride, and an unwavering dedication to bringing our people safely home when it matters most.

In other countries, when a Nigerian is caught in the act of committing a crime, he is arrested, charged to court, and if found guilty, imprisoned.

However, in Nigeria, when a foreigner is caught in the act of committing a crime, you’ll sometimes find a Nigerian willing to help him escape liability. That is the level of inferiority complex we are dealing with.

For context, the Mining Marshals arrested a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) who tried to shield Chinese nationals facing trial for illegal mining offences in Nasarawa State. Rather than allow the law to take its course, he is alleged to have assisted in a plot to help the suspects evade justice.

The irony is that while the Chinese nationals were already standing trial for alleged illegal mining, the police officer who was supposed to uphold the law is now also facing criminal charges for allegedly obstructing justice.

No foreigner should be above the laws of Nigeria. If anyone, whether a police officer, public official, or private citizen, helps a suspect escape justice, that person should also answer to the law.

The rule of law cannot survive if those entrusted to enforce it become the ones frustrating it.

She has arrived. ✈️

Last night, our very first Embraer E175 touched down in Lagos, marking another milestone in our commitment to expanding connectivity across Nigeria and the region.

Built for comfort and efficiency, the E175 features a spacious two-by-two seating layout ensuring every passenger enjoys either a window or aisle seat, generous legroom, and a quieter cabin, making every journey more enjoyable.

Joining our E195-E2, E190-E1, and ERJ145 fleet, the E175 further strengthens our partnership with Embraer Embraer as we continue investing in modern aircraft that bring more destinations within reach.

Welcome home, 5N-CGH💙
