Surely, the smell of Utenge is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed

At a tech festival built to celebrate the future, the thing that touched me most was a mother holding her child.

It reminded me that before every inventor, leader, or dreamer, there was once a woman who stayed awake at night praying for someone else’s future.

African elders say, “A child who is carried on the back does not know how far the journey is.”
That is motherhood.

Many of us are standing tall today because a woman silently carried burdens we never saw.

To every mother — biological, adoptive, struggling, praying, surviving — thank you.
A mother’s love is the kind of sacrifice that rarely makes noise, yet it holds the world together.

No technology will ever replace that.
