Court remands activist and AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore in Kuje prison

Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court Abuja today June 22 remanded activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, at Kuje Custodial Centre, following revocation of his bail last week.

The judge also dismissed Sowore’s application for the trial judge to recuse himself from the matter over allegations of bias.

Sowore is facing trial by the Department of State Services, DSS, for cybercrime charges after he allegedly called President Bola Tinubu “a criminal” in his social media post.

In a short ruling delivered this morning, Justice Umar ordered Sowore to be kept in the correctional centre pending the hearing and determination of his motion for stay of the order for revocation of his bail and bench warrant.

The judge subsequently adjourned the matter to June 24 for hearing of the application for stay of the order for revocation of his bail and bench warrant.

Last week, Justice Umar revoked a bail granted to Sowore following his failure to appear in court for his trial.

According to her, the child died the night before around 17th/18th of june and so she just went ahead to buried the child without letting anyone know the child died. Someone saw her and she was confronted later on when more people got involved.

The people around her don’t believe her, they claim she may have buried the child alive or killed the child herself...

Another Young Nurse has been brutally murdered in a community in Anambara State after being attacked by unknown assailant.

Vivian Chilaka was a 200 level nursing student living alone in Alor community. She was brilliant and had won so many awards. Unfortunately on the 14th of June 2026, someone broke into her house, allegedly tried to r**e her, but she fought so hard, tooth and nails. Vivian put up a physical fight with her killers out of her house into the compound where it appeared she was eventually overpowered and killed.

According to a community blog on facebook, her landlord Mr Ogochukwu is the primary suspect. Although he was the one who found her body and reported to the police, it is being alleged Vivian told her friends that her landlord had made adances at her in the past and she turned him down.
The landlord himself did say he believes someone jumped over the fence.

Investigations are still on going. The Landlord is only just a suspect.
