I recently tried my hands on ₦100 peanuts, and I decided to package 12 pieces for ₦1,000.

My plan was simply to supply them to stores around me and see how the market would respond.

But guess what?

Every single store I supplied gave me the same feedback of “The quantity is too small for ₦100.”🤔

At first, I won't lie, I felt somehow because I had already put time, money and effort into it.

And when I actually looked at the numbers, the profit wasn't even much. 😩

So now I am seriously considering stopping it.

But then again, business has taught me that sometimes you have to listen to the market.

If customers keep saying the same thing, maybe the problem isn't the customer.

Maybe it's the product, the quantity, the price or the packaging 🤷‍♂️

So I am currently thinking 👇

Should I increase the quantity, adjust the price, or simply stop the ₦100 pack altogether?

If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

I would really love to hear your honest opinion. 👇🏽

Good morning everyone 🤗

Knowing what your customers want is very important if you want to pe*****te the market and actually make sales.

Earlier this year, a new customer contacted me for some bottles of our peanuts because she had just opened a store.

I supplied her, and after some weeks, I checked in to know how sales were going.

Her response?

People were complaining about the price, and she had even eaten some of the peanuts herself. 😂

I won't lie, I felt disappointed.

But instead of concluding that “people in that area don't want my peanuts,” I sat down and thought about it.

Then it occurred to me that What if I introduced smaller and more affordable options?

So I reached out to her and suggested the 100g pack and our student pack.

She was skeptical because she had already told me she wouldn't be buying again.

I still persuaded her to give it one more try.

She eventually agreed, and I supplied her with a few pieces of the 100g pack and student pack just to test the market.

Fast-forward to now the feedback I received from her is honestly so heartwarming 🤗

She has increased her order and she's happy with the progress, and according to her, people love the ₦200 pack even more than the 100g pack.

And this taught me something important.

Sometimes, your product isn't the problem, you just haven't found the right way to present it to your market.

Different customers have different purchasing power, preferences and needs.

As a business owner, don't just sell what YOU think people should buy.

Listen to your customers and pay attention to their complaints.

Test different options and also be willing to adjust

That one feedback that looks like a complaint today might actually be the information you need to make your business better tomorrow.

Know your market.

Listen to your customers.

Test,adjust and Improve.

And never be too proud to try again.

What has customer feedback taught you in your business?

Happy New Week everyone.

I MADE A MISTAKE IN MY BUSINESS THAT I HONESTLY WISH I HAD HANDLED DIFFERENTLY

I STOPPED. 😔

When the price of raw materials and other things I needed for my business started going up, the price of the finished products had to go up too.

And instead of seeing it as something I could adjust to, I allowed it to discourage me.

I thought about the customers.

“Will they still buy if I increase the price?”
“Will people complain?”
“Will I still make sales?”

And eventually I stopped.

But something happened along the way.

I started watching other people in the same business.

And I noticed something 👌

They didn't stop producing at all.

Prices increased?
They adjusted.

Cost of production changed?
They adjusted.

Customers complained about the new prices?
They explained, adjusted and kept selling.

And the customers?
They adjusted too.

That was when it hit me that sometimes, the problem isn't that business has become impossible.

We just haven't learned how to adjust to the new reality yet.

And honestly, that lesson changed my mindset.

I realized that stopping didn't solve the problem.

It only made me step away from something I had worked so hard to build.

So, here I am again stepping up,starting again and showing up again.

My peanut business is not where I want it to be yet, but I am choosing to keep moving this time.

Prices may change, things may get difficult and business may have slow seasons.

But I refuse to let challenges make me quit again.

This time, I will adjust.

I will learn.
I will improve.
I will keep showing up.

And most importantly I AM NOT GIVING UP.

If you have ever stopped something you loved because things became difficult, let this remind you that you can start again.

And sometimes, starting again with the lessons you have learned is exactly what you need.

So yes

Meenerh Foods and more is stepping up again.

And this time, we are not stopping.

Sometimes, people see the finished product and think, “Oh, it’s just peanuts.”

But behind every little pack you see me sell, there is actually a process.

From getting the peanuts, checking the quality, making sure everything is clean, measuring them out, and carefully packaging each one.

It may look like a simple ₦100 pack, but I put a lot of care into every single pack that leaves my hands.

And honestly, this is one thing I have learnt from running this business,it’s the little things that build trust.

Because when you buy from me, I don’t want you to just see peanuts.

I want you to see the care, the hygiene, the quality and the effort that went into getting that pack ready for you.

So yes today, we are packaging ₦100 peanuts.

One pack at a time, one customer at a time.

And if you see me packaging plenty of them just know somebody’s stock is about to be replenished 😂
