*NYSC To Blacklist Unfriendly Corps Employers*

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has called on all Corps Employers, to upgrade the welfare of Corps Members posted to serve with them, adding that any employer who did not provide accommodation and transportation for Corps Members would be blacklisted from enjoying Corps services.

He stated this while interacting with Corps members in Lokoja during a working visit to Kogi State.

The NYSC Chief Executive assured the Corps members that the Federal Government is resolutely committed to their security and welfare, while he also appealed to state and local governments and other stakeholders to increase their support for the Scheme.

General Nafiu reminded the Corps members that security was everyone's business. He urged them to always notify relevant security agencies of suspicious actions.

The Director-General advised the Corps members to maintain discipline and dedication to duty, and shun unwholesome acts. He reminded them that they were ambassadors of their families, institutions of graduation, and the NYSC.

He further encouraged them to take their post-camp Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training seriously in order to perfect their chosen skills before the end of the service year. He reiterated the need to embrace small-scale businesses as Corps members. He said this was capable of making them entrepreneurs.

"Be proactive, identify business opportunities within your host communities, and start making some money for yourselves even now," he said.

While acknowledging the prevailing economic challenges, he urged them to however to develop the culture of saving, noting that it was the foundation for prosperity.

"Take your service year as a training ground for future financial management by managing your finances wisely," he stressed.

NYSC Kogi State Coordinator, MrsTochi Chika Chris-Moneke, expressed gratitude to the Director-General for the visit. She said it demonstrated his commitment to the welfare and security of Corps members and staff.

*NOTIFICATION OF PHYSICAL VERIFICATION OF CREDENTIALS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS OF FOREIGN-TRAINED GRADUATES FOR THE 2026 BATCH ‘B’ STREAM II SERVICE YEAR.*

This is to inform all Foreign-Trained Nigerian Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) for the 2026 Batch 'B' Stream II Service Year, whose credentials and travel documents are yet to be physically verified, to present themselves for the physical verification exercise scheduled to hold from Monday, 13th to Wednesday, 15th July, 2026, at the respective chosen centres:

NOTE:
a.As part of the measures to ensure orderliness and avoid overcrowding, Prospective Corps Members are expected to strictly report on the date, time and venue specified on the verification slip.
b.They are to present all original credentials and travel documents as uploaded or expected to be uploaded online during registration.
c.Medical graduates should, in addition, upload Licenses, Registration Certificates and other relevant documents issued by their various bodies and also come along with the originals to the verification centers.
d.Original copies of Evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education should be submitted at the NYSC Headquarters, Abuja and acknowledged copies upload online by the PCMs.
e. PCMs are to note that only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified and cleared would be deployed, exempted or excluded from National Service.

NOTICE

Since the new reform came in place many has being asking when NYSC will implement it.

As of today, the Federal Government has not announced a specific commencement date for the new NYSC reforms. Although the reforms were approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), many of them require amendments to the NYSC Act and related regulations before they can be fully implemented.

This means:

* The reforms have been approved in principle.
* The necessary legal changes are still being processed.
* No official batch has yet been announced as the first to operate under the new system.

NOTE
The reforms will begin with a future batch once the legal and administrative preparations are complete, but NYSC has not confirmed whether they will start with Batch B stream 2 2026 or a later batch.

So exercise patient as NYSC puts everything in place. We know you can’t wait to spend 6 weeks in camp without parade and also rock your beloved Adire attire 🤣🤣

BREAKING: President Tinubu has approved the comprehensive reform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), which will see the agency being led by a civilian in its operational leadership, while the military will continue to handle security for corps members across the country.

Tinubu also directed the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, and the Minister of Youth, Ayodele Olawande, to amend the NYSC Act and its regulations to reflect all the approved reform measures, enabling immediate implementation of the new framework.

BATCH A STREAM 2 CONGRATS on a successful camping

*DOCUMENTATION PROCESS AFTER ORIENTATION CAMP FOR A2*

*Documentation for those that redeployed is different from those that didn't redeploy. Below is a guide.*

A) *Those that didn't apply for relocation:*

After parade, you will be given your respective PPA letters by your platoon officers

Take your PPA letter to your PPA for acceptance or rejection, if they accept you let them give you acceptance letter, let them know you have to go back home and pack and they should give you 2 weeks break. If they reject you, no problem, tell them to sign on it and give you a rejection letter, take it to the LGA to see your LGI

Take the acceptance or Rejection signed part of your PPA letter to the NYSC office at your LGA secretariat ( most times the require the full posting letter)

Submit it to the LGI and submit other submittable, then apply for 2 weeks permission to travel and pack your stuffs.

*B: For those that relocated to another state:*

After parade, check your name where they are sharing PPA letter, if your name is not there, good to go✅ if your name is there it doesn’t mean that your relocation failed.

NYSC works with time. Date of PPA posting if done ealier before relocation was approved, you will still get a posting letter.

Wait till relocation becomes visible on your dashboard then you can now conclude.

Check your dashboard, Print your relocation letters from your dashboard after payment to NYSC.

Go to *Nysc State secretariat* in that new state. (You have 21 days from the day your relocation is approved)

Submit your redeployment letter with other documents, you will get new state code and wait for your PPA letter on your dashboard. This can take time depending on your state.

Once posted, print and take your PPA posting letter to your PPA for acceptance

Take the acceptance letter to the NYSC office at the LGA secretariat and submit it

Submit all submittable.

NB: if you have a PPA of choice you can get a request letter from them and submit together with your relocation so NYSC will post u there (some states don’t honor request letter though. Eg:Ogun state and Oyo state )
