Upskilling helps you to be more valuable. Could be digital skills, tech skills, even upgrading your handwork too.

Try not to remain at the same level for long. Keep upskilling. It won't always be sweet. It won't be comfortable either. But guess what, it will pay off soon.

I made a mistake.

I didn't sleep with my bonnet and I woke up to see broken pieces of my hair in the bed. See me see breakage o. I crode😭😭

I kinda got used to freestyling with my bonnet. Some days, I would wear it to bed, other days I would not.

This was not so bad at the time because my hair was in braids. Was wearing wigs at a point when they got a bit old and rough. So not wearing a bonnet did not really affect my hair.

But last week, I finally relaxed my hair after a 6 month stretch. Freshly relaxed hair is extra extra fragile.😭🤣. Not using a bonnet in that state is equal to breakage. I'd forgotten.

My hair was breaking just after day 1 of being relaxed. I didn't need to be told, I went to search out my bonnet and I've been wearing it religiously since then.

Satin/silk hair covering is really important in your hair journey. Especially if your hair is exposed, not in any hairstyle or hairdo. You should wear it every time you go to sleep.

You may not be used to it, just give it time. You'll adjust. It helps to keep your hair in place, they're not rubbing against each other and causing breakage.

Don't be like me o. Oya, go and wear your hair bonnet or scarf before you go to bed tonight.

Refreshing wash day routine

I washed my hair and washed my daughter's hair too. Now we're squeaky clean but it was a lot of work.

Detangle, wash, rinse, deep condition, rinse, dry, moisturize. Hmmnnn...

Mamas with 2 daughters or more, how do you do it? How's it going?

Sometimes I wish there was a salon I could trust to handle this for me. But we move.

Relaxed hair also tangles o.

There was a time I lost chunks of my hair as I was washing. I can't even explain what happened.

The hair tangled so bad, deep conditioner could not even help much. I was washing it myself o. If it was at a salon, I probably would have blamed the hair stylist. But Omo, it shocked me.

What am I saying? Your hair problems will not automatically disappear just because you've applied relaxer.

Just be sure you know what you're doing. If not, see you see steady breakage.

I'm a relaxed hair babe and I still have to handle my natural hair because it will always be there.

The hair that grows out of our scalp is natural. There's no running away from it.
