Vertigo is inspired by the rush, the drift, the delicious disorientation. A state where thoughts float freely.

Dark green shadows. A haze hanging in the air. The feeling of standing still while everything around you gently spins, imagination becomes louder than logic and instinct speaks before reason.

BELLINA.

Phalaenopsis Bellina, also known as Kambang Alo
by the Bidayuh Salako community in Lundu,Sarawak, once grew abundantly in the shaded forests and riversides around the area.

An orchid that preferred cool air, low light, and silence.

Unfortunately, its natural habitat today is slowly erased by development and endless rows of oil palm plantations, leaving behind fragments of a rainforest that once breathed life into it.

Because of its beauty and popularity, it was later renamed the Normah Orchid after Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Normah Abdullah, wife of Sarawak’s fourth Governor, and is now the official flower of Sarawak.

A flower once hidden beneath the canopy, now reborn in velvet skin.

Sipadan Island

A forgotten tropical dream floating in the Celebes Sea. Surrounded by crystal waters and dense emerald greenery, Sipadan carries a raw beauty that feels untouched by time.

Inspired by the Malay word for “root”, AKAR is a fragrance collection that reconnects us to our heritage.

Each scent captures a piece of Malaysia, from cultural traditions, historical moments, local delicacies, arts, festivals, iconic places, architecture, as well as our rich local flora and fauna, all interpreted through the lens of modern perfumery.

At the heart of the collection lies Malaysian oud: a symbol of our land, our identity, and the roots that shape us.

More than a fragrance collection, AKAR is a tribute to Malaysia, a timeless heritage to be remembered, worn, and passed on across generations.

Alhamdulillah, another proud milestone for Fuse Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s oud & fragrance industry.

For the first time in 9 years, the Advanced Oud-Based Perfumery Workshop was successfully held at MTIB from 9–11 April 2026, a rare and valuable platform for those ready to step into the art of perfumery.

Over 25 participants were introduced to the craft of building accords, fantasy accords, and bases, then challenged to transform their own creations into finished perfume formulas. From Rose, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Orchid, and Magnolia accords to fougere, chypre, oriental, and leather bases, each participant explored the kind of creative discipline that shapes their own true perfume identity.

The workshop became even more significant with the attention of the Kementerian Perladangan dan Komoditi - KPK (Ministry of Plantation and Commodities). YB Minister Dato' Dr. Noraini Ahmad even set a special challenge for all participants: to create a perfume dedicated to her. A surprise visit by the Deputy Secretary General, YBhg. Dato' Razali Mohamad further underscored the importance of this initiative and the quality of the work produced.

Our deepest appreciation to the Malaysian Timber Industry Board for organizing this, evaluator panels Hamzainie Hamzah, Fayzi Omar and Diana Hadirin, and especially Melor Chan for the excellent coordination throughout the programme.

This workshop has became a gateway for passionate creators, brand builders, and future perfumers to learn, experiment, and build something truly remarkable with Malaysian oud.

Thank you all for making our initiative to promote Malaysian Oud & heighten our fragrance industry a step further. We hope that all participants will continue to create great fragrances and make Malaysia proud. Hope that Malaysian Timber Industry Board will continue their part in organizing such workshops, again.

Dusk Till Dawn

There is a certain beauty in Ramadhan nights.

When the sky darkens and the noise of the world fades, hearts quietly turn back to their Creator. From dusk till dawn, prayers are whispered, tears fall in silence, and the soul finds peace in surrender.

This fragrance was born from those sacred hours.

The night begins with a luminous breath of bergamot, cardamom and iris, delicate yet radiant like the calm after sunset.

Soon, the atmosphere deepens. Malaysian oud and incense rise gently, wrapping the air with a sacred stillness. It's the scent of devotion, reflection, and faith.

As the night stretches toward dawn, saffron, amber and labdanum glow warmly, rich and golden like the patience of those who seek Him in the quietest hours.

Finally, the fragrance settles into vanilla, sandalwood and musk. Soft, serene, and comforting.

A reminder that after nights of devotion comes the beauty of gratitude.
