Happy Fed Tallow

So good even the babies are reaching for it ;) idk about you but I am pickyyyy with what I put on my baby’s skin. We made this diaper cream so you can know with confidence that your baby’s skin will be protected without harsh toxins! This balm is great to have on hand or in the diaper bag when your sweetie’s skin needs extra help 🤍

My goal so often is to do things with efficiency. I’m thankful I have two little people I love most in the world who daily confront this idol I have.

The worship of efficiency in our culture and my own heart has done a lot of damage. It’s great for us to value it! But only in balance with valuing people and beauty too, while remembering: the world does not revolve around me, and God does not need me or my work. Rather, I desperately need him!

If efficiency were the goal of our business, we’d buy our tallow from Amazon and have fewer customer relationships and use cheaper ingredients. But we like it this way. Slow and meaningful and done right! Thanks for supporting our little business 🌿🤍

A few very -not fancy- things we do to keep life simple. easy toy storage, just 2 pans, etc. i was reminded today while my extremely fussy baby clung to me for dear life that this is why I constantly tell myself that I don’t need something just because I like it. I have most things I need already. The more things I bring into my home, the more things I need to manage, and the harder it is to hold my teething, grumpy baby without thinking “I have so much to do” all day.

It is not normal in most of the world to have a closet overflowing with barely worn clothes, things lining every wall in the house, amazon packages arriving daily to the door step, and extreme multiples of things in the home. If that’s you & you manage it well, great! But my stress level plummeted when I got rid of 50% of my things and decided we were ok with a not glamorous, ordinary life. Prioritizing simplicity and doing constant heart checks to remain content has really given us the flexibility to have some margin, prioritize people, & maintain peace in our home. The “constantly overwhelmed” mom doesn’t have to be the norm!!

Restocked our deodorant a few days ago!! Our tallow deodorant has been one of our most loved products and we’re so happy you love it as much as we do 😍 over the years we’ve tried random diy deodorants and we (mainly Aniel) would always revert back to buying “sort of” clean brands because we wanted something that actually works. Until now! We think we nailed it with this formula and the reviews you’ve sent us have confirmed that- plus it’s actually clean. Deodorant you don’t have to stress about using and effective in this hot weather🌿

We’re convinced that sunshine solves 90% of life’s problems 🌞 we try to build our solar callus gradually so we don’t burn outside and can soak up all the benefits of the sunshine! You can do this by getting morning sunlight when the rays are less intense. But obviously if you can’t do that, and you can’t use a physical shield, a sunscreen of some sort is a good idea to keep from burning! Especially one that doesn’t contain toxic chemicals that you need to worry about. Restocking our sun balm now for just one more time this summer! 🌞

Did you know tallow is best applied over already wet skin? We always recommend applying after a shower so tallow can do what it’s best at & lock in the moisture that’s already on you 🌞 you can also apply a hydrosol or other water based product beforehand to best hydrate your skin!! [which we may or not have coming in the fall 👀]
