Amid Lebanon’s ongoing economic challenges, strengthening market access is key to advancing women’s economic empowerment, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
In July 2026, the Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Project supported women-led businesses communities to access local market opportunities in Zahle and Tripoli, in partnership with the municipalities of Zahle and Tripoli. Through quality improvement and market access support, businesses showcased their products, explored new opportunities for growth.
The WEE Project is jointly implemented by UNDP and UNIDO, with generous funding from the Government of Canada.
في ظلّ التحديات الاقتصادية المستمرة في لبنان، يُعدّ تعزيز الوصول إلى الأسواق عاملاً أساسياً في دعم التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة، وتعزيز قدرتها على الصمود، وتحقيق سبل عيش مستدامة.
في يوليو 2026، دعم مشروع التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة (WEE) عدداً من المشاريع التي تقودها نساء للوصول إلى فرص تسويقية محلية في زحلة وطرابلس، بالشراكة مع بلديتي زحلة وطرابلس .ومن خلال دعم تحسين الجودة والوصول إلى الأسواق، تمكنت هذه المشاريع من عرض منتجاتها واستكشاف فرص جديدة للنمو.
يُنفَّذ مشروع التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة بشكل مشترك من قبل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (UNDP) ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (UNIDO)، بتمويل سخي من حكومة كندا.

Proud to highlight a success story from the WEE Project, funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by UNIDO and UNDP.
To date, the project has supported 96 MSMEs by providing access to essential equipment, quality improvement services, and market opportunities, empowering businesses to grow in a sustainable and resilient way.
