What is a scar? A growth of tissue marking the spot where skin has healed after an injury.

What causes a scar?
Scars form when the dermis (deep, thick layer of skin) is damaged. The body forms new collagen fibers (a naturally occurring protein in the body) to mend the damage, resulting in a scar. The new scar tissue will have a different texture and quality than the surrounding tissue.

A scar is proof of having survived some gruesome invasion of, in, on and around your body. Having been under the knife now for the 7th time; I know all about scars. I have my scars to prove that it takes a special human being to endure pain over and over again and remain positive. Took a while to accept my scars and even a longer time to find my scar mate😍😍😍

There are so many silent battles we face in life but it's out of those struggles that we can share our experiences. I am NO longer ashamed, afraid, saddened or traumatized by my scars. I NOW love, embrace and share my scars with the myself and the world.

If you have scars, just know you are one HEAVEN OF A HEROINE OR HERO😎😎😎We could have died (if you have been under anaesthesia more than 5 times lasting for over 1 hour minimum), been negatively physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually damaged forever BUT here we are to accept our scars and know that this JOURNEY was not in vain.

Embrace your scars and just know it takes an extra special human being to overcome them. My scars have finally determined what kind of a person I want to be. I can no longer live in a scarless life; as my scars have defined who I want to be. FEAR NO MORE. MY SCARS WALK MY JOURNEY WITH ME and remind me daily that I AM NOT ALONE 😍😍😍 My scars will forever remind me that they are right by my side to remind me what I have survived..for that I FEEL LOVED by my best friend.. the one and only MY BODY!
