If your nails can’t last a month without lifting, then you are skipping this step, especially if you do builder gel, gum gel, or acrylics.

So, after removing the previous set, we prepare the nails for the overlay application. And in this case, we were doing gum gel sculpting using dual forms. So, we start with doing a primer coat and then we do the base coat.

But the most important step is how you apply the gum gel especially if you’re do sculpting using the dual forms. And you can see I am not placing it too close to the cuticle area because the moment your product goes over your cuticle, it creates a weak point from where it’s going to lift.

So, after our gum gel cures, we do the filing and buffing. But after cleaning up, my client applies some sunscreen to protect her skin from wrinkles and dark spots caused by exposure to the UV.

And then we apply basecoat before doing our gel and art work.

But of course you don’t want to stay with ugly nails for an entire month, so we did this beautiful nail art that will serve my client for the next five weeks.
