Hair Salon NALU was born in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo, in year 2001. Back then, founder Daisuke Hamaguchi started a tiny little hair salon with his only assistant, and called it HairStyleShop NALU. He wanted to have a hair salon with the concept of a style shop, where customers can casually change to hair designs that strikes their fancy just like how one changes his or her fashion items without hesitation. In the year 2003, NALU was moved to Omotesando, Tokyo. At the same time, 76CAFE was opened. It was an interesting concept where the basement is utilized as salon space, while the ground floor served as café space. This interesting concept is now referred to as Nalu Style. The harmonious synergy of food and style reinvented the brand into a lifestyle concept that is now established as one of the popular spots in the stylish district of Omotesando, Tokyo. Soon after, Nalu Style further expanded to which the basement and ground floor now served as the 76CAFE, while the top floor served as Hair Salon NALU.
