Changes in ar**la and ni**le pigmentation are very common after breast surgeries like mastectomies or mastopexies. The skin can experience either darkening (hyperpigmentation) due to the body’s natural healing and scar response, or lightening (hypopigmentation) from reduced blood flow and nerve regeneration.
